Avernus Handout - Infernal Contract Form

ADD TO WISHLIST >

Discerning devils save time with Molock's brand stigian legal forms.  Our firery lord's basic infernal contract is fully customisable for your specific schemes. Just fill in a few blanks and you are ready to corrupt or capture motal souls.  Rest assured, our boilerplate is designed with a devil's needs in mind. Don't waste time, choose Molock's.

Perfect for use in the Baldur's Gate: Decent into Avernus module.  This form allows the DM to customise each individual deal.  I have hidden many tricks in the "standard" contract language.  Don't just have your player's roll to see if they are outwitted by a devil.  Have fun twisting technicallities against them.

Having just bought this, I noticed a grammatical error on the first line of the first page.
"This Agreement is made on made this __ day of the __ tenday of___"

I could be wrong, but I think it should read
"This Agreement is made on this the __ day of the ___ tenday of ___"

Filling this out, it would read "on this the fifthday of the 3rd tenday of Ches"

Also, is it possible for you to make this a fillable PDF?

I wanted to ask; you mentioned that you had added in a few tricks, is there a chance that you could have a document detailing these tricks since I think I only found two and this is like my 4th time reading it?

I don't have a document like that prepared, but that's not a bad idea. When I have time, I'll post a section by section discussion. Check back in a few weeks.

I love this so much! Tricky language isn't my forte but I currently have 5 copies marinating in tea for when my party decides to make a deal with the devil. Thank you for making this!

Also, it really isn't a big deal but your link for exhibit A doesn't work. I just copied it into the browser.

Also, I'm not sure why I cannot review this product. But you get 5 stars from me. I'll try again later.

Yeah, for some reason the DM’s guild restricts what links will function. That’s why I pasted the whole address. Hope it lets you leave a rating. Thanks.

Has anyone found any extra tricky loopholes to mess with the players?

I don’t want to give everything away but one example is in the phrasing of the references to the exhibits. In one case the exhibit is explicitly made “a part hereof” and in the other case it is “apart hereof”. Spelling error? Or intentionally different meanings?

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
