Winter has just begun, but hunger has always been. The first big snow has just fallen, promising a long and deeply cold winter. Tasked by the Harpell family in Longsaddle with the delivery of The Grimoire of the Greedy to Mirabar, your heroes will set out on a 4 day journey north upon the Long Road. Waiting for them along their path in the trading post town of Eswick is a monster that stalks all people in the deepest throes of their hunger...

WENDI is a multi-branched whodunit (which changes entirely based on what the characters do) that comes complete with ominous audio tracks and custom artwork. This story plays off an often unused mechanic which will take your players by surprise, leaving them desperate to survive!

This adventure is balanced for a group of 3-5 players at 3rd level.

I haven't read through it all yet, but one minor thing that's just a pet peeve really, is you don't indicate what level party you balanced this for. A more experienced DM would know by looking at it, and while it's clear it's for a lower level party from the CRs used, it's always nice to be able to glance at it and know if it's worth considering for an upcoming game.

Excellent point! I can't believe I forgot that! I'll update the version asap.

For the record, this adventure is balanced for a party of 3-5 3rd level adventurers.
One of the more interesting aspects of it, however, is that the challenge lies outside of their levels.

Can you adjust the file so that it's a legitimate searchable document. It's currently just a scanned copy.

A great suggestion. I'll add OCR support asap and update you when it's ready!

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
