I didn't catch it until I actually ran it, but the privy in the Pair of Black Antlers describes a hole 20 feet down which ends in lava, but that would go right through the middle of the cellar, which shows no sign of it. I suppose I'm just gonna chalk that up to extradimensional weirdness of Avernus. How else are those canals filling with lava?

There's still the mismatch in the Black Antlers' boxed text with the following description. Boxed text describes a bone devil with a squad of skeletons and zombies. The description says a barbed devil with three bearded devils.

Any update on whether this is going to become AL legal with or without modifications?

Is it just me or are the Holy avenger and Devil Catcher way to strong for level 6s?

I swapped out the holy avenger for a sun sword.

This was already brought up, but it would be worth bringing up again. In the first battle at A Pair of Black Antlers, the description of the devils in the narration box is wildly different from the game text directly afterwards. Which account should we go with?

To Echo another commenter, Chapter 1 says in the box: "A large brown building with a sign that reads “A Pair of Black Antlers” is the backdrop for a battle in Elturel’s streets. A sneering bone devil commands a squad of skeletons and zombies against four roaring minotaurs."

And then right below it, it says:
Tyligillus, a barbed devil of Zariel, leads three bearded devils in the fight against four of Baphomet’s minotaurs.

So is it a bone devil with skeletons and zombies OR is it a barbed devil with 3 bearded devils?

Thank you for having all three versions of each map: without grid (for DM on VTT), with grid (tabletop), and no labels (for players on VTT).

In Chapter 1: A Pair of Black Antlers the box text for "Approaching the Tavern" does not match the text below it with the creatures types. I took the non-box text to make more sense for the time being.

I started my characters in Elterel and one happened to be a Cleric of Helm! This was so useful because they role played and now know of the resources in Helm's Hall for when they go to save Elterel in Avernus...they wanted plate at level 1 but didn't have high enough Strength lol.

Really good work here, I will surely cannibalize helms shieldhall and a pair of black antlers as my player was based in Elturel and ran through tyranny of dragons as an order of the gauntlet member, so those locations and npcs featured in all my campaigns thereafter.
James you may want to revise the text though as there are a couple of incosistencies here and there, such as talking about hezrous who suddenly become barlguras in the tavern.
Nota a big deal for me 'cause I will change and adapt all of the encounters as my lone player Is at 16th level btw;).

Nice ideas and work though!

I'm afraid the inclusion of a legendary item will make this a non AL legal supplement, that's a shame :( Any info?

As soon as I know something, I will let you know! If the item prevents it, I am willing to work with the admins to give other options.

Maybe it could be a story item like the Sword of Zariel will be. Still giving this item to level 5-6 characters confused me!

A DM could change it if they want to. Avernus is a ROUGH place. This will increase the characters' survivability, but won't save them from everything.

So that is not a misprint, that item is really hidden as described? Dumb question I just wanted to make sure.

Mayhaps another luminous blade could be a work around. I believe that is what I will be doing. At this level, the item in question is going to be very OP for players.

Maybe it could be a +2 sword that becomes a Holy Avenger at a dramatic point in the story, or if the paladin wielding it is almost killed or something.

The map dimensions in squares are (height x width):
A Pair of Black Antlers 23x35
Helm's Shieldhall 57x44
Dragoneye Dock House 21x22
Owlbear Butcher Shop 15x15

Hope that helps!

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
