While I much appreciate your attempt at providing some specialized npcs for D&D (Something which is sorely lacking outside of homebrew), I feel that a few things need to be pointed out.

1. Some of your npcs have the wrong hit die size. All medium creatures should use a d8 hit die, but some of your npcs are using d10s.

2. Some of your ability scores are way too low. 10 is considered average, but most of your npcs have 8s. Even the basic guard npc in the monster manual has a baseline of 10.

3. Some of the abilities seem a bit counterintuitive and not explained very well. Shouldn't the intent be for mounted archers to move away from enemies as they fire? Also, it does not specify how far they have to move, as well as not indicating when they should fire to gain the bonuses.

4. Formatting errors. Take dog pair for example (Maybe the name should be trained hound?), its multiattack is listed under traits rather than actions.

5. Some of the npcs values...See more

This feedback is most welcome. I admit that I fudged numbers to give feel instead of sticking to the math. I will adjust things . I'll also add some most description to the counter intuitive skills. The mounted Archer skill idea stems from the idea that the added speed of the mount propels the arrow faster at the target , thus increasing damage. I'll heed most of your suggestions. Especially the math based ones.

I have reworked the numbers and added a bit of description here and there. I think I have remedied most of the major issues you mentioned and found a few that you hadn't like the swordsman having spearman traits, from a bad ctrl v session. Thanks again for your feedback, Gage. I gave you thanks in the v2.0.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
