I have to say. This is product is an eminently useful guide for those of us interested in the heraldry of the realms. The source reference in particular is very helpful. This guide is now my preferred starting point when doing my own versions of realm heraldry.

Thank you so very much for creating this product!

(I would have left a short review and 5 star rating, but I have a publisher account)

The other question I had was in the sales pitch, its not clear how the $19.99 bundle is different from the other bundles. Could you elucidate on that please?

The bundle contains the Player's Guide and all of the stock art - all meaning each individual set - Drow, Elves, Waterdeep, Ravens Bluff, Faerun settlements, and Others. The bundle page should list each item contained with the bundle (unless you're on mobile device, then I recommend using Desktop mode to see the bundle page). There's no text with the image sets - just the raw image files and a license.txt file.

If you don't need the stock art for creating DMsGuild products, then you don't need to buy the art. That bundle is for DMsGuild creators who are creating DMsGuild adventures. If they want to use these graphics in their adventures, they need to buy the raw image files which comes with a commercial license. Since these images are Forgotten Realms specific and not generic fantasy, creators can only distribute products using the graphics on DMsGuild.

So if another DMsGuild author wanted to use the drow images in an Underdark adventure, they'd buy my drow stock art, insert the graphics...See more

So just to check my understanding. I will be using these images to supplement and enhance my players experience and create deep immersion. I dont think I intend to create any products with it.

I bought he right pack?

Thank you for such a full explanation by the way.

Yes. However, the license doesn't allow you to upload the files to wikis and such.

If your players are all sitting around the table top or any other virtual table top then its okay. It's also okay if you embed the images within a PDF you made that relates to your adventure that you provide as a player handout aid for your games. I just prefer that the hi-res files aren't uploaded where others can download them for free (because I'm trying to sell them here :) ).

thanks

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
