The Conjurer

ADD TO WISHLIST >

Conjurers are masters of the ancient lore of centuries ago. They summon loyal Underlings to fight for them, fueling them with the essence of their own spells and molding their abilities through their disciplines. They are focused spellcasters, specialized in this branch of magic that was forgotten.

This supplement contains:

  • The Conjurer class
  • Three Conjurer subclasses, called Paradigms: Disciple of the Lich; Disciple of the Treant; Disciple of the Genie
  • Over 70 Conjuring Disciplines allowing the greatest level customization yet for a 5e character
  • Character Sheet for the Underling, so that you have all the stats in one place!

Extensive feedback from various sources has been taken into account to make sure the class does not require too much bookkeeping, does not slow down the game and is not overpowered.

PS. ITALIAN VERSION COMING OUT SOON!
Versione in Italiano in prossima uscita, verrà aggiunta al pacchetto, quindi acquistando questo prodotto si otterrà automaticamente accesso sia alla versione inglese che alla versione in italiano!

i really like this class but i do have one problem. the underlings dont have base stats str, dex, con, int, wis and cha. just wanting to know if this is by design or something that was missed. because this would limit the usefulness outside of combat.

Hello. I purchased this as soon as it was released, but only now have I had the opportunity to play it.

Have there been any updates or revisions since its release?

Love all of this, but I'm wondering how come the spellcasting ability is Intelligence when the saving throw proficiencies are Wisdom and Charisma? No other full spellcasters have a spellcasting ability that isn't one of their saving throw proficiencies. It doesn't seem right, It'd make more sense if Intelligence was one of the saving throw proficiencies instead of Wisdom or Charisma.

Hi Miguel, thanks for your comment.

That was a design choice for various reasons, short answer is... because like you said, no other spellcasters are like this!

- originally the warlock was meant to be INT, but got changed to CHA during playtest. So I wanted to create another INT based class besides wizard
- I liked the fact that he would have all around good mental saves.
- I see the conjurer as casting pretty much like a wizard, but having to deal with conjured creatures he needs to be determined (wisdom) and have a strong force of personality (charisma) to avoid turning into a slave to their own summons.

That said, if you don't like it the way it is, my suggestion is just change CHA saving throw proficiency to INT.
It will still have one good save (wis) and one bad save (int instead of cha).
Just avoid taking out WIS, but you know that already ;)

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
