The Cursed One

The Cursed One is a brand-new class for Dungeons and Dragons 5th edition, one which revolves around the expenditure of one's own life force to fuel a series of unnatural powers. 

The class is a product of a long iterative process of writing and playtesting and, as of now, represents exactly what i've envisioned it to be as i started creating it: a tireless cursed champion capable of providing an enticing gameplay made of choices and interesting drawbacks. I've had immense fun creating and playtesting this class, which has become a staple in my playgroup, and it's with great pleasure that i bring it to you! 

The Cursed One provides a strong framework for a robust and resilient frontliner, capable of fueling its powers though the loss of hit dice. Each subclass presented in this document allows to explore a different facet of this gameplay:

The Werewolf maximizes the efficiency of the base class' powers and expands them though a limited but powerful mutated form, in which the character becomes feral and uncontrollable. 

The Vampire portrays the classical curse of vampirism as a semi-caster capable of fueling spells with their own life force, a power which comes with the ability to drain the life force of others.

The Wendigo provides a fast and versatile skirmisher thanks to their Leap feature. perfect for hit and run tactics and subtler approaches to combat.

The Moth employs the curse to bolster their allies and bring misfortune upon their enemies, all while darting in and out of the fray on ethereal moth wings.
