If my group has played dragon heist, is this different enough to warrant another play-through without feeling too much the same?

Hi, sorry I missed this for a few days! The overall premise is very similar (tracking a macguffin to secure a treasure hoard). You can make it feel very different, especially if you emphasize the different setting (Skullport instead of Waterdeep) and play up the different atmosphere, organizations, etc that they'll interact with there. The more you push them off the beaten path or utilize the new content (like villain lairs), the more distinct it will feel.

Slight problem with this in that the PDF file doesn’t display any images when opened on iPad. Could we get a fix for this in the next few days?

I’m not sure what the issue could be, maybe some comparability error? Without knowing what the exact interaction issue is, it’s unlikely I can ‘fix’ the PDF—however, I’ll be adding a file of the maps, etc to the digital files. That should at least let you access and utilize the maps separately if the PDF won’t show them.

Brilliant! I, and other users, had the same issue with the Uncaged anthology when it first released. Might be something to do with the way the images are encoded. iOS has issues sometimes with jpeg2000 images in PDF files for some reason.

For other users, if you download the adobe reader app, it will work in there, even if it won’t work in iBooks.

Would it be possible for you to supply a file with the artwork used in the adventure? It'd be super useful for making handouts and the like when I rune the game on roll20.

While waiting for the author to respond, some image editors (GIMP for instance) allow you to open PDFs and edit the images so you could extract them that way.

I tried that actually but the one I use only extracted a single image - a border frame from a page - for some reason.

Hi! I’ll try to see if I can add a ZIP with map files and the character portraits I commissioned specifically for this supplement—I’m not sure if I’d have legal permission to upload the other art separately. It’ll probably be after the weekend before I can update the digital files with the zipped folder.

Just tossing it out there (and the image may not be as good a quality) but - you could hit the PRT-SCN button on your keyboard (which will copy a screenshot of whatever app you have open into your computer's memory), and paste the image into Paint in Windows. (You'd hit start>run>type out Mspaint...) And then crop to the correct size. I would imagine that as long as you are using this for your own campaigns and then don't use the image elsewhere, it would constitute "Fair use".

I am currently finishing up reading this and plan on doing a detailed review here afterwards. I am enjoying this very much and am certain it will fall into the 5-star category. This is a premium product!

I'm having a hard time finding the stats for Remallia.

Are they in this supplement or am I supposed to homebrew something?

As with other named characters from Dragon Heist, her statistics can be found in the DH appendix. Sorry for any confusion!

Looks good, very interesting. Small error I've found - area CT1 and CT4 are both listed as The Lanternlighter's. I believe CT1 should be updated to Gyudd's Distillery.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
