{WH} Lera! A moth-like character race of susurrant scholars

The light beckons, and you follow.

Journeying from the silk-woven forests that nurtured you as a larva, you emerge into the wider world, a land full of disparate peoples and ideas, rich in a wealth of knowledge and secrets.

As the light lead you, once, now you are lead by enlightenment. With each hidden truth you uncover, you learn more of what the world is, and how to secure your place in it. Secrets are your power, and your currency.

Seek them out, and guard them well.

Lera are a character race of moth-like humanoids, driven by an endless compulsion to gradually learn all there is to be known.

Do you study the diverse and storied cultures of the world, hoping to understand why they are as they are? Do you broker for blessings from dark gods or demons, hoping to gain the forbidden fruit of their knowledge? Or do you embrace the light, looking to its pure candescence for the truest of answers?

Included in this supplement are:

  • The Lera core character race

  • Seven distinct subraces, each based on a different real-world moth

  • Two new racial feats, specifically for lera characters

  • Six new creatures, perfect for foes, allies, or companions in any game featuring lera!

Where will the pursuit of enlightenment lead you, and what astounding truths will you uncover?

I've just finished playing a campaign as a neutral evil Curin Lera / Ghostslayer Blood Hunter for over 1,5 years now. We were going to play in the Avernus setting, so I knew the sunlight sensitivity would be no problem for me. I was wielding a glaive so the ability of flight really gave me an advantage in terms of positioning. The 30ft radius Whispering Words racial would often cause situations where I couldn't really communicate with my team or enemies/npc's, which created some interesting gameplay moments that were often hillarious with me trying to yell my lungs out and people still not able to hear me, making me look like a complete idiot xD. Being evil helped nicely with the ability to eat corpses. Free healing after combat? Yes please! In hell, you don't get much time to rest. So this was a nice bonus and it was very funny to see how even the most terrifyingly evil people in hell would get shocked by my extremely gross looking table manners due to my mandibles and proboscis. I had a Warlock in my party who...See more

I just made one!

I'm not sure if it's great or not. Try it out and let me know if it does the trick.

(I'd try it myself, but I don't *technically actually own* a printer, so...)

Could've sworn I enabled one when I first made this. =(

Well, there's a preview now, at any rate. Thanks for letting me know!

A small typo I noticed: In the description of the Curin's "Terrifying Presence" feature it says they have proficiency in the "Intimidate" skill rather than "Intimidation".

Other than that, an extremely polished product!

Rules Edition(s)
Original electronic
Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
