Patron of Liberty - Warlock Subclass

ADD TO WISHLIST >

The Patron of Libery is a new warlock subclass option for Dungeons & Dragons 5th edition.

“The world suffers when the powerful forget or neglect to show compassion… Will you remind them?” – Eldath, Goddess of Peace, offering a Pact

So you want to make a Pact with Liberty? This idea could coalesce in various ways (A bargain with a deity, a pledge to a People, or signing a Declaration); but regardless the way it manifests, you are now tasked with bolstering the freedoms and rights of others. While other Warlocks attain lost knowledge and secrets in return for services directed to the Patron’s wishes and benefit, the Patron of Liberty rewards their warlock with knowledge and ability in order to benefit the people of the world.

Quite often, this knowledge takes the form of being alerted to conflicts and situations where your skills will do the most good. Other times, the knowledge will be a perspective that either you yourself need, or one you must pass on to others. Freedom costs, and perhaps with the help of your Patron, you may attempt to make a down payment on the behalf of others.

Inspired by everyone's favorite shield wielding Avenger, this new subclass offers:

  • Mechanics for wielding a shield as an offensive and defensive weapon
  • New Eldritch Invocations that can be used with this subclass or others
  • A Level 20 Bonus Feature for those that want all the advantages freedom gives them

Patron of Liberty: A Warlock Subclass by Brittney Way (@FNDungeonMom) Pledging yourself to Liberty takes many forms, but essentially it makes you superhero; an avenger of freedom. The expanded spell list draws largely from the Divine rea [...]

All I will say on this one is that if you don't buy this, Sam the Eagle will track your ass down and make you think about the shenanagins you have gotten up to by not investing in this beaut. It's well laid out, it has both great roleplay value and mec [...]

This is a super charming subclass based on my personal favourite Avenger. I particularly enjoy the new eldritch invocations this subclass introduces (On Your Left will be a must-pick when I get the chance to play a character with this patron) and the [...]

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
