World Eater's Awakening - Adventure

ADD TO WISHLIST >

The Fate of the Multiverse hangs in the balance, in this adventure by James Patrick.

Developed during the Ashley Warren RPG Writers Workshop - Summer 2019.

Somewhere in the infinite Astral Plane, a dead god is stirring. Only the most powerful heroes of myth and legend, gathered from across the multiverse, can stop its cataclysmic rebirth.

The heroes will need to use every trick they have to survive, as they descend into the corpse of the dead god and discover what vile force disturbs its rest.

If they can reach the heart of the god, an epic battle against an evil archlich and its deadly minions awaits them. Will the heroes be able to prevent the World Eater’s Awakening?

World Eater’s Awakening is an adventure for 3-5 player characters of 17th level or higher. Easy to setup and run, even for DM’s that have never attempted to run a high-level adventure. World Eater’s Awakening can also be played as a one-shot or inserted into any other campaign or setting as a side quest for high-level play.

For use with the fifth edition Player’s Handbook, Monster Manual, and Dungeon Master’s Guide.

Included Inside...

Ran this as a high level one-shot for my group, who for the most part have never gotten past level 10, to give them a taste of Tier 4. They loved it. The BBEG at the end is balanced well and gave my players fits. Would definitely recommend this one. [...]

As a DM, I thought this adventure was just average, however when I asked my players at the end of the level 5-20 custom campaign they said this adventure stood out as being very memorable. [...]

I found the maps and graphics a bit confusing to sort out at first, but this was a good high-level adventure I was able to plug into my campaign without a lot of fuss. [...]

World Eater’s Awakening is 3 – 12 hour long one-shot for level 17+ characters that is truly epic in scope. In it, the players are tasked with figuring out who (or what) attacked a githyanki stronghold in the Astral Plane, destroying almost everyone [...]

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
