Enchanted Tools

Enchanted Tools is a supplement whose purpose is to remedy the irrelevance of tools in Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition. Part of this irrelevance is caused by the lack of an intriguing crafting system, while another part is caused by the lack of content surrounding the tools themselves. In this supplement we attempt to tackle the latter.

The supplement features 24 magic items that are enhanced versions of the tools found in the Player's Handbook. These include all the Artisan's Tools, as well as the Disguise kit, the Forgery kit, the Herbalism kit, the Navigator's tools, the Poisoner's kit, and the Thieves' tools. Moreover, you will find a new set of tools, the Gunsmith's tools, along with their enchanted version.

Additionally, there are 7 new drinks to go along with the Enchanted Brewer's supplies. They are meant to serve as a source of inspiration but most of them have some interesting effects.

Finally, there 2 new resources you can use in your crafting exploits, called Ironwood and Living Metal.

One of my favorite parts about playing DnD, whether as a player or a DM, is roleplaying. I love roleplaying, especially when figuring out how to get out of a tricky situation or how to extract information, make a friend, or make a reputation for my cha [...]

While some of these items can be too powerful in my opinion, using these kits and sets for inspiration and/or adding them to the world as multiple sets, using only 1 or 2 of the bonusses on each set, it become way more mangeable.. This is not a bad thi [...]

The first impression when I opened the document was a true AD&D 2e nostalgia. With it's style and illustrations, it sent me back in time some 20-25 years ago when I still played it. The layout and the design are just great and the content is nothin [...]

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
