Prestige Path: Fleshwarper

Update v1.2: Fixed a formatting issue in the Fleshgrafts document which cut off the last page of grafts.

This was created by converting the 3.5e Fleshwarper. This also contains a host of flesh grafts converted from 3.5. This isn't all of them, but more are coming in the future in a Pay What You Want document. The ones presented here are so the Fleshwarper has some to work with.

“The flesh is the key. It holds the secrets, the hidden words. It is the constant between man and beast and monster. It is a simple matter, once the way of the flesh is understood and embraced, to use it to your will. It should not be abhorred simply for its differences, because the eye can be retrained to find beauty in all things. For what is more beautiful than the primal flesh? It is simply the purest form of expression one can hope to achieve..”
—Erkin Tiorki, fleshwarper

The fleshwarper is destined to walk a lonely path, for few have the stomach to accept what they considers enjoyable. To a fleshwarper, there is no greater canvas than flesh itself. To reshape, reform, and rebuild the flesh into a new form is a closer step to divinity. To a fleshwarper, there are no taboos, only possibilities.

Prestige Paths are a way to add another layer of flavor onto a character without using class levels. They are somewhere between a class and a background. Class levels are finite in 5e, so this allows for a light version of a class without breaking normal progression.

Check out my Prestige Path Primer for more information and a sample Prestige Path.

Page 16 of the Fleshgrafts (both versions) is missing. The left margin shows as the right margin of page 15, but the rest of the page is cut off.

Sorry about that, I'll take a look tonight and see if I can get it fixed by tomorrow afternoon.

Why does the Fleshgrafter Feat in this document state that, "You must be a yuan-ti to choose yuan-ti grafts," when you offer no Yuan-Ti grafts? :( Half the reason I purchased this document was because the preview showed that feat and it made me think I could get yuan-ti content out of it.

This was a project that fell to the wayside. I apologize for that. This weekend, I'll work on getting those written up and added. Check for an updated version over the next few days, they should be added by tomorrow evening, or Monday at the latest.

Actually... it might be closer to Tuesday. Looking through the list, I realize that I'm adding about 50 new grafts. I'm also going back through all the grafts and adding a rarity and adjusting the prices to fit 5e's base magic item economy.

Update should be available now. There are around 77 Flesh Grafts, including the Yuan-ti ones. They've also been repriced for 5e and given rarities.

Any chance of doing these new ones in the 5 ranks style as per the previous documents?
Using the older ones in my campaign. Really enjoying them.

Original electronic
Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
