ANC1 The Anchôromé Campaign Guide
Regular price: $12.99
Bundle price:
 $12.99
Format:
 PDF
In 1992, TSR released FMQ1 City of Gold, by John Nephew and Jonathan Tweet.  This combination supplement and adventure brought players north of the fabled lands of Maztica to meet the Azuposi and find the aforementioned City of Gold.  The Azuposi themselves were based on the varied Pueblo Native Americans, mixed with a bit of high fantasy.  This 100 page product is meant to be the spiritual successor of FMQ1. What has happened to the Azuposi since it was last visited? How did they handle the Spellplague?  What has happened to all of the loose ends City of Gold left open? Those questions are answered here, but that is by far not all.  ANC1 The Anchôromé Campaign Guide is also meant to do for this “new” continent what the Sword Coast...

ANS0 The Bee Tribe of Anchôromé
Regular price: $0.00
Bundle price:
 $0.00
Format:
 PDF
Welcome to Anchôromé! In 1992, TSR was at the height of a truly exploratory phase, particularly in the Forgotten Realms.  As if the Aztec/Maya based Maztica was not enough, we also began to head north, beyond the great desert of the Sands of Itzcala and into the virtually unknown continent of Anchôromé.  John Nephew and Jonathan Tweet gave us the wonderful adventure and supplement known as FMQ1 City of Gold where adventurers could head into the Pasocada Basin and meet the Azuposi in pursuit of the fabled city of Michaca, whose streets were rumored to be lined with gold. Barring a few other mentions (notably in the explorer/plunderer Balduran's travels), Anchôromé has not been seen or heard much of since, yet it ...

ANS1 The Land of the Insect Men
Regular price: $1.99
Bundle price:
 $1.00
Format:
 PDF
In the distant continent of Anchorome on the world of Toril, we were first introduced to the Azuposi people in the adventure and supplement FMQ1 City of Gold by John Nephew and Jonathan Tweet.  In that fabulous product, we were given hints of far more distant lands, one of which was the Land of the Insect Men. From Page 78 of FMQ1 City of Gold: "Players who enjoyed playing explorer in the 'Quest for the City of Gold' may thirst for further travels.  The Azuposi storytellers may be of assistance in inspiring new journeys. The most intriguing of the tales speak of the far northwest.  There, it is said, are yet harsher deserts in which dwell a race of mantis warriors-great insect men-who wander the badlands.  Among other fantastic claims made about them, it is said ...

MGP1 Xibalba
Regular price: $0.00
Bundle price:
 $0.00
Format:
 PDF
The Great Wheel cosmology is not the only cosmology, and the heavens and hells that it contains are not the only ones that exist. Xibalba is the hell of the Maztican Cosmology, the lawful evil plane of the Great Pyramid.  In it, there is a great city with rivers of blood, pus and scorpions and a great ball game where its terrible fiends challenge unsuspecting mortals with the only desire to humiliate them and murder them in horrific ways. So why would any mortal being want to travel to Xibalba?  Well, its flowers, while rare, are said to have amazing powers.  Some diseases, in fact, can only be stopped by such rare flaura.   The Great Pyramid cosmology is tagged with the letters MGP and the introductory product can be found here at MGP0 T...

MPG0 The Great Pyramid
Regular price: $1.00
Bundle price:
 $0.00
Format:
 PDF
Welcome to the Great Pyramid!  The Great Pyramid is an alternate cosmology for beings who worship the powers of the Maztican pantheon and defines their journey into their afterlife.  This book briefly describes the heavens and hells originally described by author Doug Niles in 1991's Maztica Boxed Set, and includes locations of Aztec or Maya myth such as Xibalba and Mictlan. The MGP series will cover each plane of the Great Pyramid in detail and one at a time in article sized entries.  Hopefully, each of the seventeen planes of the cosmology receives its own entry.  These will include inhabitants, locations, magic and rewards.  This product is in itself an introduction to this product line. All Maztica Alive products can be found at TWC1 The Maztica Campaign...

TWA1 The Ruins
Regular price: $1.00
Bundle price:
 $0.00
Format:
 PDF
The Ruins is a jungle based encounter and adventure that can be used in any jungle setting.  It is specifically designed for the Maztica setting but adaptation to others is minimal and all creatures, items and other information are self contained within this book.  All you need is right here. The Ruins is based off of the 2008 movie of the same name and tries to closely mimic the events that occured in that horror film. This is the first official adventure published for the Maztica Alive campaign, and is intended for four characters of levels 5-7, though some adjustments could be made to make the adventure more or less difficult. There is truly a horrifying creature within these pages.  See if you can end the threat of the ezcochitli! Affiliated Products: TWR1 ...

Bundle price:
 $0.00
Format:
 PDF
Welcome to the second adventure set in the True World of Maztica! This adventure is inspired by B4 The Lost City by Tom Moldvay, but is designed for a Maztica campaign.  The adventure is easily convertible to any setting, and only truly requires a desert that has the potential to conceal an extensive underdark.  It is designed to be a challenging adventure for four 3rd to 5th level characters, but is easily adjusted upwards or downwards.   Set beneath the House of Tezca, the characters are conscripted with delivering an important trade agreement.  When a terrible sandstorm strikes and the characters lose their way, they are introduced to a hidden underground kingdom of new races and monsters unseen anywhere else.  Sure, there are plenty of humans, but good luc...

TWA3 Blood Offering
Regular price: $1.00
Bundle price:
 $0.00
Format:
 PDF
Blood Offering is the third adventure for the True World campaign setting for Maztica. The adventure is inspired by the movie From Dusk 'til Dawn directed by Robert Rodriguez and written by Quentin Tarantino and the book Obsidian Butterfly by Laurell K. Hamilton.  The adventure also relies heavily on a creature from Aztec mythology known as the cihuateteo. The First Man known as Camazotz, once favored by the gods and later cast down to become the first vampire has only been heard of in legend.  His city, buried long ago is reappearing one piece at a time.  Camazotz does exist, and has taken many wives.  These creatures, known as the cihuateteo are female vampires who actually give birth to their spawn.  His favored wife has developed q...

TWA6 The Relic
Regular price: $1.00
Bundle price:
 $0.00

TWA6 The Relic is a short, site based adventure that gained its inspiration from the 1997 movie also known as The Relic.  It is a supernatural horror film directed by Peter Hyams and it stars Penelope Ann Miller, Tom Sizemore and Linda Hunt. The movie itself is based on the novel of the same name by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child.     The adventure utilizes the creature featured in the movie (known there as a kothoga but here altered to kothoggo) and tries to recreate events and the sense of horror that occurred in the movie.  The setup is different however, and the ordeal that the players will have to go through is only designed to last for one session of adventuring.   The adventure is ideally designed for four players who s...

Welcome to Lopango! Sometimes called the Land of Fire by unknowing Faerunians; among its primary inhabitants - the mysterious folk known as the Natican, it is only known as "The Land of the Sacred Sun" in honor of their patron deity Intiri. Lopango lies far to the south of Maztica and is itself an even more mysterious land.  In this book, you will discover its inhabitants, its cities and its mysteries.  This book is intended to supplement TWC1 The Maztica Campaign Guide, but most of it could be used independently.  Lopango is (very) loosely based off of the Incan empires as opposed to Maztica's Maya/Aztec flavor.  There are many other players here besides the Natican as well, including barbaric scorpionfolk, death loving gnomes, a haughty subrace of giants, the a...

Monsters from fantasy Mesoamerica! The True World is an ever expanding campaign which utilizes existing lore for Maztica, Lopango, Anchorome, and Katashaka.  The new lore never conflicts with canon material.  While the earlier edition creatures for Maztica have already been updated*, there are plenty more beasts to be fought! This book contains 25 new monsters for the True World setting and while some are heavily steeped in lore, they could just as easily be used in non-True World or Maztican settings.** The creatures within include a few updates to older creatures – many with new twists (such as the anadjiin, the corollax, and ekolid), but mostly it includes brand new creatures that have never been seen before.  Mesoamerican mythology, as it turns out, is loa...

TWM3 The Grand History of the True World
Regular price: $1.00
Bundle price:
 $0.00
Format:
 PDF
The Grand History of the Realms by Brian James is perhaps the most useful product for Realms enthusiasts that exists.  It appeals to the history buff and Realms fan in all of us.  This book is an attempt to catalogue all of the events that have occured canonically in the True World setting alongside material developed by the Maztica Alive community.  With this, you can keep track of all that has gone on and all that will go on in any Maztica (or Lopango, Anchorome, etc.) product. Each event, like those in the Grand History of the Realms, is organized chronologically using Dalereckoning. Please understand that this project is now, and always will be, a work in progress.  It currently includes most of the canonical events, but has yet to include the Ancorome based FMQ-...

TWM4 The Penguinfolk
Regular price: $1.00
Bundle price:
 $0.00
Format:
 PDF
In the Spelljammer setting of the 2nd Edition, there was a race of creatures known as the dohwar.  As anthropomorphic penguin-like traders, they often served more as an annoyance than as any real threat or race that a player might choose. Well, crash landing in the hostile True World setting of Maztica and finding an ancient, sentient artifact from the batrachian creator race has a tendency to change who you are! Now, the penguinfolk have their very own warriors, monks and even warlocks.  Their enemies are legion, including the dreaded hakuna (dragonne-like beasts) from the mountains and raiding sahuagin from the sea.  The only thing these enemies all have in common, is that they universally underestimate the dohwar. This product contains the history of the penguinfol...

Regular price: $1.00
Bundle price:
 $0.00
Format:
 PDF
Acalanahuatzi is known as "The Wyrm at War" because its two heads not only have vastly different personalities; they also desperately want to see the other destroyed. Tlalocouatl, also known as Rain Dragons, are a species unique to the True World who are said to assist the god Azul in regulating the weather.  Acalanahuatzi is one such dragon, but he has abandoned his god and developed a split persona.  What's more is that only one of the halves has embraced the darkness and become a dreaded dracolich.  The only threat to this powerful creature may in fact be himself. This short supplement is designed in the same format as many of Ed Greenwood's old "Wyrms of the North" articles for dragon magazine.  This product includes a description (along with statistics) of the...

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
