Hi Derek, I am looking to run a campaign as an introduction to Eberron for my friends. We usually start our campaigns at level 5 or above because we find it more fun to start with cool abilities. Can I run City of Monsters without having played the first 2?
Also, how long of an adventure is this? We usually play in 3-4 hour sessions

To be truly honest. Only the first one is a real stand-alone. City of Monsters can be run on its own but plenty of NPCs from the second adventure appear there. The good thing is that the three adventures include guidelines on how to adjust combat encounters. Even the first one includes adjustments up to level 5. I'd recommend at least playing part 2 and 3. You may finish each of those in 2 or 3 sessions.

I just purchased the BUNDLE version (11/4/2021).

It looks like the third part is missing.

Here is what I received:

446018-Maps_and_Props.zip
446018-Sharn_II_-_Council_of_Roaches-Free2.pdf
446018-Monster_and_NPC_statblocks.pdf
446018-Sharn_-_The_Missing_Schema_-_BW.pdf
446018-Sharn_-_The_Missing_Schema.pdf
446018-Sharn_Stock_Maps_-_hi-def.zip

The Council of Roaches says FREE VERSION on the cover. Is this for the bundle, is there a different version that has more material?

Hello, Sorry for the inconvenience. I've reviewed the contents of the bundle and all appears in order. Could it have been a momentary bug? Please try to download again.

If the issue is not fixed, please contact us directly through Twitter or Facebook so that we can send you a complimentary copy of the third part directly. Find us as Elven Tower.

Hi Derek, ignore my previous comment, I bought the bundle, but I want to run each adventure consequentuially (I finish pat 1 at lv. x and begin part 2 at lv. x+1 , same for part 2 and 3). Any tips on what lv. should I begin? (I don't want to skip from 1 to 5 to 7)

Hmmm well each encounter in the three adventures includes an adjustment chart. In part III the lowest it goes is level 5. But once you see the adjustment charts you may get how they work and make adjustments on the fly.

Ok so I would run part 1 for levels 1 and 2. Then part 2 with levels 3-4 using the adjustment charts, and do part 3 at level 5 using the lowest setting in the charts. Also notice that those charts assume a party of 4-5 PCs with relative knowledge of the system. Hardcore players might think it is too easy while newbie players might have a hard time.

If they're inexperienced, have the warforged NPC in part 1 tag along for help.

Hi Derek, just bought the bundle, a simpel question, the first part covers level 1 - 5, the second part lv. 3 - 7 and the third 5 - 9, does this mean I have to adjust every encounter on the second part? Teh carachter will be lv. 5 when they get there

Hi Derek, I'm interested in this campaign, we have 2/3 month ahead of us (approximately 1 session per week), how much does it take to play it?

Well it depends on many things. But each of the adventures is meant to last for 12-14 hours. So it may be just enough for you to make it.

Hi there,
We're currently using roll20 to play, since we're in the middle of the covid pandemic here, would you recommend getting the vtt or the pdf version of the product?

Hi Andrew, I'm going to be very honest. The VTT version is a Fantasy Grounds version. I don't use that platform and I ignore if that purchase can easily translate to Roll20.

However, the normal version in PDF includes all the maps in high resolution as separate files that you can import into Roll20. And the battle maps come in 140px per square which aligns perfectly with roll20. So i'd say the normal one. If you're familiar with FG and know that you can port the stuff to Roll20 on your own, then get that one instead.

Hi there!

Is this "schema" plot similar to the one in Forgotten Forge? My group already played that adventure (in fact, the whole series). How similar do you think this adventure would be compared to the original 3.5 campaign?

Cheers!

Hi Igor. The Missing Schema heavily draw on the first part of the Forgotten Forge. There is third act after the artifact is retrieved where the PCs have to recover it from a faction. That part is new. If that's too similar for you, then just jump to the second and/or third adventure which are original in its entirety.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
