Bundle price:
 $1.71

 PDF
You think you understand magic? The raw stuff of magic permeates the whole of the material world, but lies locked behind an invisible veil called the Weave. Spellcasting is a matter of manipulating the threads of the Weave in a specific way so that the magical potential hiding behind it can be released. Magic users, both arcane and divine, owe their craft to the existence of the Weave; after all, without the Weave to serve as an interface, no mortal could hope to shape the raw essence of magic, right? Wrong. A select few understand the aether that flows through every object, creature, and manifestation of energy in the world. For them, the Weave is not a vital interface, but a barrier to be bypassed. These spellcasters, these enlightened magic-users who grasp what lies behind the su...

The Mage-Knight Class
Regular price: $3.99
Bundle price:
 $1.28
Format:
 PDF
One of the first things I noticed when I first perused the Player's Handbook all those years ago was this: despite introducing two examples of a "half-caster" base class (paladin and ranger), both options were divine. If someone wanted an arcane warrior-mage hybrid—a concept that goes back to D&D's earliest days, when "elf" was a class—you have to be either a fighter dabbling in magic (Eldritch Knight) or a full-caster dabbling in swordplay (Valor Bard). Well, I wanted a true gish. It seems I'm not alone. After publishing the Mage-Knight in early 2018, it eventually managed to climb the ranks and become a bestseller, in spite of all the warts that came with my first attempt at class design. In light of this class's new bestseller status, I decided it's time...

The Slayer Class
Regular price: $4.99
Bundle price:
 $1.72

Track down your enemies and put them to the blade with the Slayer, a full 20-level base class designed from the ground up. Play this class if you: Want a spell-less ranger instead of the half-druid version in the PHB Want to play a martial character whose INT matters Want to create or harvest poison and not feel like a chump The Slayer wouldn't be a full base class if it didn't also have its own subclasses! In this document you'll find not two, not three, but FOUR FIVE base classes to further define your personal flavor of hunt-and-stab: The Bounty Hunter, who tracks down VIPs like a vigilante superhero, great for intrigue games The Ghostkiller, an undead-slayer who isn't a divine spellcaster (FINALLY!) The Monster Hunter, if you want to hunt big beasties in the wildern...

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
