50 Magic Items - Treasures of Saltmarsh

ADD TO WISHLIST >

Treasures of Saltmarsh contains 50 magic items for use in your nautical campaigns

Above and below the violent seas off the coast of Saltmarsh adventurers seek to find fame and fortune, whilst the native races live a life of hardships beneath the powerful currents.

This supplement contains 50 unique magic items inspired by the area around this sleepy village and the azure seas beyond. From the vicious sahuagin who roam the ocean floor, caught up in ancient battles, to those seafarers who travel on magnificent vessels commanding the waves.

These items fit seamlessly into your Ghosts of Saltmarsh stories, as well as any adventures you have on or around the high seas. These items may find themselves in the possession of pirates or mercenaries who find themselves ashore, trickling into the black markets of Skullport, or in the ownership of long-retired adventurers or seafarers.

Included in these waterlogged pages are:

  • 30 Wondrous Items, ranging from a Brass Oyster that tracks your foes across the realms, to the Treasure of Saltmarsh, a set of cursed coins with fantastical powers when combined.

  • 4 Potions from dangerous poison to the distilled power of the Kraken.

  • 7 Magic Weapons including Panache and Precision, a pair of scimitars who will allow you to swashbuckle through your adventures.

  • 6 Sets of Magical Armor from whale blubber, that should not be worn in polite company, to rusted armor coated in the thick mucus of the pitiful Skum under the thrall of their Aboleth master.

  • 2 Ship Maps for use in your campaigns

  • 7 Random Distribution tables allowing you to easily hand out loot to your players through their journeys.

Resplendent with fantastic art from Forrest Imel, Fat Goblin Games, and Pyschoshadowmaker, this supplement is the perfect accompaniment to your seafaring adventures from Ghosts of Saltmarsh and beyond.

So what are you waiting for? All hands hoay, man the sails, batten down the hatches, and shiver me timbers! There’s treasure to be found.

Been using this for the entire campaign and just noticed that in the TOC “Ring of Aquatic Life” p.10 is actually “Ring of Oceanic Life”.

The Staff of the Seas has missing content. How long does the Control the Tides Last? It is not in the 5e rules.

Is it a mistake that you keep referring to the god of storms everwhere as Talon, when it should be Talos?

Hello. Is that a misprint when you have Control water or Control the Tides?

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
