Elemental Magic for Fantasy Grounds (Codex Five of the Enchiridia Mysteria)

This is the Fantasy Grounds version of "Elemental Magic," brought to you with help from Shaun Sides (@w4lkin_dude). This is a MOD file, not a PDF.  Now fully compatible with FG Unity.

In a world where things are arbitrarily categorized...

Welcome to Elemental Magic, Codex Five of the Enchiridia Mysteria! Wield the power of air, earth, fire, and water in this collection that is meant to flesh out thin places in the spell lists while also trying new things (I also found some surprising space to cover basic effects, like setting creatures on fire or summoning rain). Here's a rundown of what you'll get in this tome:

  • Elemental Spell Lists. See what your elemental spell options are for each element and for each class from across the Player's Handbook, Xanathar's Guide to Everything, and my own spellbooks (Spells from Elsewhere, Mind Magic, and Matter Magic are referenced). Consider what books and individual spells you may need to bring an elemental character concept to life.
  • 64 New Spells. The 3.5 era spell Drown returns with a fresh update, Living Statue is inspired by the old spell Statue but works differently, and Manshoon's Xorn Talons was described but never made official before. The other 61 spells are quite new!
  • Mind the Gaps. While some classes are thin on elemental influence, and there is always more that could be done, this tome was created with the spell "gaps" in mind that exist for every element in every class. Now, there should be options for everyone, and the classes which are especially good with the elements (druids, sorcerers, and wizards) will find choices at almost every spell level.

Whether subtle or overt, helpful or hindering, there is something for everyone in this tome, as long as everyone is on board with using elemental spells.

Now, the only question left is... are you ready to rock?

I'll let that one air out a while.

I could come up with some pretty sweet burns,

but maybe I should put it on ice.

This is Codex Five of the Enchiridia Mysteria, a multiple-volume collection of dedicated grimoires and enchiridions focused on a particular subset of magic.

Check out all of my other great products at Dungeon Masters Guild, starting with these:

A tall city gate stands in a deep recess, with sunlight only hitting the tallest buildings. Indistinct figures move at the street level.

A decorated tree in a snowy landscape stands near a gathering of wrapped presents, as a beam of light ascends into the sky seemingly towards a gas giant planet

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
