When Demons and Devil clash in the eternal conflict of the Blood war, the magic that they use is unlike any seen in the mortal realms. The fiends prefer spells that cause not only destruction but are horrific in their effect. Why cast a magic missile when you can cast feast of maggots and cause your, ancient enemy, to drown in a writhing mass of hell maggots

Magic of the Blood Wars introduces over a 100 new blood war-oriented spells, 7 new fiendish and evil spellcasters, 22 New feats that allow you to bring a new level of skill and character to your champions, and 16 New eldritch Invocations will give you a variety of blood war style options when designing a fiendish warlock.

Inside this supplement, to the world greatest roleplaying game you will find

  • 7 New Subclasses - including Disciple of Mephistopheles and Thrall of Orcus
  • 22 New Spell Caster Feats - like Counterspell Mastery and Magic Resistant
  • 100 New Blood War Spells - including Feast of Maggot and Heart of Razors
  • 16 New Eldritch Invocations - like Hellfire Blade and Occult Knowledge

Hi David. I *LOVE* this book - your thematic flavouring is spot-on. And the spells are well-crafted and balanced. Quick question though ... the product information says it is 48 pages in length. I downloaded it and it is 43 pages. Which is correct? Cheers!

I am glad you love Magic of the Blood Wars, it's my absolute favorite supplement I have written. There was a 5-page errata sheet of additional spells and corrections that increased the page count to 48. The 5 pages should have downloaded with the other two files. If you don't have it I will see what's happening on the DM's Guild side, and I may have to upload it if it went missing.

If this helps you any ... on my download page, I have 2 options for this book. The normal v1.0 PDF and the printer-friendly v1.0 PDF. I downloaded both again this afternoon, and they are both only 43 pages.

I just reloaded the errata page which adds a bunch of spells and updates a few subclasses based on player feedback

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
