VeX's Expanded Dungeon of the Mad Mage, Level 03 (Fantasy Grounds)

MOD (Virtual Tabletop)

Tyrannosaurus VeX Presents

VeX's Expanded Dungeon of the Mad Mage
Level 03

Do you wish the maps for Waterdeep: Dungeon of the Mad Mage had a bit of color?  Do you wish there was more megadungeon in your megadungeon?  Are you too busy to prepare all of this yourself?

Then this is the module for you!

What it included?

  • Eight colorful battlemaps made with professional-made art assets from 2-Minute Table Top
  • Twenty-one new combat encounters.
  • One riddle & puzzle.
  • Twenty-six NPCs with tokens.
  • Thirty-two items, many of them new magical items.
  • Two new quests.
  • Twenty-four treasure parcels.
  • At least eight hours of added content.
This product contains eight maps, all of them add-ons to the "Waterdeep: Dungeon of the Mad Mage" adventure module.  That module is not required for this module to work, but it is preferrable to own that module.  These maps and encounters can be added on to your own dungeon, but they integrate best with the official adventure module.
In additon to the maps, there are story entries to describe each map, the encounters and NPCs that go with them, and pregenerated random treasure parcels.

* This is a module for Fantasy Grounds and is NOT usable outside of the Fantasy Grounds software.

Levels 1 and 2 were very linear and fairly easy for me to convert from Fantasy Grounds versions into PDFs. But the layout of the rooms in Levels 3 and beyond are not very linear and require me to do a lot more work. I do intend to go back and do this work, but it's simply a matter of having enough free time to do it.

I am glad to announce that I've finished the conversion of Level 3 to PDF! Like the previous levels, I included the maps in full and VTT resolutions in the zip file!

Ok. I have now copied the map (from the zip file) into the campaign images folder, and it loads OK

I'll take a look at it tomorrow and probably change the file names and update it. I'm not sure what the issue is exactly, but I'll probably shorten the file names.

Thanks Gary, I've fixed the issue and re-uploaded a fixed version of the .mod

I have the expansions for level 4 done ... I just need to get them actually entered into FG and export, LOL. The hardest part is coming up with the concepts, balancing encounters, and making the maps. But then what's left is a slog of actually entering it into FG. And while I enjoy the HARD parts, this last part is just time consuming and I hate it! :D

But I should have the 4th level expansion released fairly soon, probably next week.

Hi. I'm getting an error message on 2 of your image files trying to load.

Database Error: image: Invalid File (03-North-(West--Center)--Goblin-Band(70x40).jpg) is one of the maps that won't load. I have extracted the mod file and the image files seem OK, so it perhaps the naming convention?

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
