I really want to enjoy this, but there seems to be an issue with the font language used. I first noticed the commas and apostrophe's were being replaced with the little square unknown character symbols, which I could ignore after a bit, but then I started finding the symbols where important info should have been, such as damage dice and other subscripts. I looked into it on my end, and found the issue involves an encoding issue where the font displays normally in FGC, but not in FGU. Most text encodes normally, but a lot of symbols do not. Is this something that can be fixed with an update in the future?

Yes, certainly. An update should be pushed sometime today. This is an issue of differences between FG Classic and Unity. Character encodings that worked in Classic do not all work in Unity, so conversions sometimes need to go back in and change how certain characters are encoded.

Hello, will the other expansions be converted to Fantasy Grounds as well? If so, is there a timeline?

Thanks.

You will need to ask the author of the PDF. We would of course love to do it but it’s up to them.

I know that it states that it's for FGs, but will it also work for Roll20?

Not sure what you mean. Do they REQUIRE effects coding? No.

I mean, as with one of your own modules "weapon effect coding".
I was wondering if any of these weapons, would require any additional coding, to add all their effects when equipped?

Koul. They are separate products, with separate commission structures, and separate creators/authors. If you purchased by mistake, the only thing you can do is seek a refund through customer service.

It is CLEARLY MARKED that it is a Fantasy Grounds file and NOT a PDF.

In the title.

In the file type.

In the first line of the description.

Yes, I'm quite sorry about that, I was a bit buy happy when I saw more gear and such a detailed book. I managed to get everything settled, and sorry again. You do great work, keep it up.

Was anything other than the first line of that comment really necessary? The guy didn't claim it was misleading or make any comment that warrants you being such a jerk about it. I know it doesn't mean much, but you've lost a customer in me.

Jay. It did seem necessary from my point of view. I wasn’t trying to be a jerk, I was only trying to fully explain the many/multiple efforts I go to to signify the item as a VTT item rather than a PDF. Many (and I do mean dozens if not hundreds) of people click buy before they really stop to look at what they are buying. There really isn’t much more that we can do other than to mark the title, the file type, and add a statement to the description to help people.

I’m truly sorry if you were offended or upset by what I said to another person.

I wish you well.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
