"The writing (superb), maps, and overall presentation are excellent… for me, any future chapters/modules will be an automatic buy." Tim C.

"It was challenging at points, which as a player of D&D I was looking for… its replayability is great though." Matthew M.

Is it possible to play these with two players? I’m looking for something that my wife and I can play but still with no DM. Thanks!

Does The Tortured Land have jPEG files of the map? I downloaded the entire bundle and don't see it. All of the others are there.

Hmmm I see the map book but I don't see a zip file with individual maps the way I do with the other modules. It's okay. I can play with the map book. Great product. I'm having a ton of fun since I don't have a group right now.

Hello. I'm new to D&D Solo and am considering this bundle purchase; however, I want to know if they can be used in Fantasy Grounds like your Tables of Doom module?

Hello Mr. Bimler!

Just purchased the bundle and trying to put up a game on Roll20 with a friend... I'm just scrolling through the PDFs (the content looks terrific): in the intro to "the Death Knight's Squire" you said that if needed you could provide the whole map for Roll20. So here I am to ask you for TDKS roll20 map. And for any kind of advice you could throw at me regarding setting up the adventure for two players. Is it enough to just double up the enemies as stated in the document?
Thanks and keep creating this solo adventures, please!

Hi Sergio!
On the product page for Death Knight's Squire (link in the product description above). Look at the comments section on that page. The link is there :) Also, regarding monster numbers... I'd recommend 2 Level 1s perhaps. Or, as you say, 2 Level 2s and double the monsters.

Hey thanks a lot! for the heads up, the advice regarding 2 lvl 1 characters AND above all thanks for creating such compelling adventures. Just midway through TDKS and I'm impressed by your writing skills and for the ingenuity in creating a solo system that works. Will soon leave a review here.

Hi! Thank you for the much needed D&D rations! All four modules were captivating though Tyrant of Zhentil Keep was the stand out for me.

When do you think we might see Drums at Daggerford? I'm itching to continue.

The only real issues I ran into were balance issues in a couple fights. I found the encounter against a certain lurking subterranean creature excessive. Fear and paralysis?? I lost two PCs to it.. a tanky life cleric and a minmaxed moon druid. The BBEG fights in DKS and CotR were also absolutely brutal.

Long rest resource classes are tricky for these adventures. I consistently struggled to anticipate rest opportunities. Maybe it was poor comprehension of foreshadowing on my part, but I often found myself either relying on cantrips for deadly encounters or running into long rest points at full health and spell slots. It seemed like rest chances were balanced around the player bumping into roughly half the available encounters. Rolling stealth with disadvantage...See more

Frankly I can't wait. These adventures are really well done, challenging, and a compelling story....through multiple plays. Currently, Ive got 2 characters that have made it through all of the adventures published so far (ready for Daggerford). But they are by no means the only 2 Ive tried it with!! Well done. A romp back to the style of heyday of Fighting Fantasy, and Sorcery! Thank you.

Got them both now I can play wherever I want! On or off. Did you ever write a guidebook on developing adventures? I would love to learn to write my own private adventures for my players combining various modules so own and even throwback campaigns like Spelljammer! Thank you for your response and all you do for the community. You have one more loyal and avid customer my friend!

Many thanks! It's always nice to hear back from people who've read my books. I'd recommend a book by Wraith Wright Productions called "Single Player Systems, Solitaires" which has fantastic and detailed advice about writing solo adventures.

Hi. I just bought this as an FG bundle a few minutes ago. I'm new to D&D and haven't downloaded the FG program yet but I'm about to. I was wondering if it's also possible for me to receive the PDF version of this bundle without having to pay for it again as a PDF. Many thanks in advance.

Why did you choose to package these products as a single product instead of a bundle through DriveThruRPG? I've already purchased the first product (D&D Solo Adventure: The Death Knight's Squire), so purchasing this product would give me a dupe plus DriveThruRPG will not be able to show that I own the other 3 products if I were to view their webpage.

When I first introduced this product the option of creating bundles either wasn't there, or I wasn't wise to it. Apologies for that. Also the native site for this product is Dungeon Master's Guild. Email me on paulbimler@gmail.com and I'd be happy to discuss this further. ;)

Ah. The DM's Guild does not offered the bundle set like DriveThruRPG even though they are run by the same people Wizards of the Coast hasn't set it up. Thanks for the reply.

Hi David
We can do that for sure. Since it's a little more expensive, would you mind as a trade leaving me a review on this page?
Many thanks.
Once that's done, send me your email address at basscampnz@gmail.com and I'll send you a complimentary copy of the FG version.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
