Codex Augustus: 262 Feats and Boons

31 Pages, over 20,000 words.

68 Racial Boons
Race-specific boons are designed to enhance or support existing abilities or themes. Some are weak, some are powerful - Use these as rewards as a permanent buff, or a potential feat alternative, or as a token to represent and / or reinforce their race selection.

124 Class Boons
Class-specific boons are designed to enhance or support existing archetypes or powers. Some are weak, some are powerful - Use these as rewards as a permanent buff, or a potential feat alternative, or even temporary buffs granted by Divine Intervention, or other situations as the DM desires.

70 Feats
My full updated feats list, containing 70 feats - Some are still in their original form, others are modified. Many are new. They have all been playtested within my circle, and for those involved, they are balanced enough to serve their purpose. However, your mileage may vary.

Note:
If this book ends up being successful on the DM's Guild, then I will release a second volume which will include the class options presented in Xanathar's guide, along with the new Race and Subrace options in Mordenkainen's, Volos, and Princes of the Apocalypse.

Again, some of these boons, feats, and abilities were made as underpowered / cool / niche powers. Others are gamebreaking. Some are in-between. If you are using this guide, you will have to use your own DM's judgement for the frequency and power level of what you hand to your players.

Furthermore, the ideas here are merely in the form that I used them in my own homebrew campaigns. There are lots of changes you can make to increase or decrease the power level as you see fit. Or, you can even change the item's type completely.

Feel free to reduce or increase a bonus, or the damage of something, if you believe that balance will work better at your table. Adapt the frequency that the abilities can be used. Turn an at-will power into a short-rest recharge if you think that's better.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
