Tyrannosaurus VeX Presents

VeX's Expanded Dungeon of the Mad Mage
Level 01

THE COMPLETE BUNDLE OF ALL 23 EXPANDED LEVELS IS NOW AVAILABLE WITH MASSIVE SAVINGS!

Do you wish the maps for Waterdeep: Dungeon of the Mad Mage had a bit of color?  Do you wish there was more megadungeon in your megadungeon?  Are you too busy to prepare all of this yourself?

Then this is the module for you!

What it included?

  • Five colorful battlemaps made with professional-made art assets from 2-Minute Table Top
  • Three new combat encounters.
  • One riddle & puzzle.
  • At least an hour of added content.
This product contains five maps, four of them add-ons to the "Waterdeep: Dungeon of the Mad Mage" adventure module.  That book/module is not required for this module to work, but it is preferrable to own that book/module.  These maps and encounters can be added on to your own dungeon, but they integrate best with the official adventure module.
In additon to the maps, there are story entries to describe each map, the encounters and NPCs that go with them, and pregenerated random treasure parcels.  The fifth map, is a bonus map which gives a colorful map for when the characters go through the demiplane gate and visit Halaster's Simulacrum.
* IF YOU WISH TO SAVE MONEY, CONSIDER BUYING THE LEVEL 1-5 BUNDLE!

Can these maps be printed so that each grid is a 1in by 1in grid? I need to lay them on the table and place my minis on them. Thanks, Dennis

Yes. The "PDF" versions not only come with the maps embedded in the PDF, but also with a .zip file with the .jpg images inside. You can load those into your favorite program to print and then scale the print size to however large you want the grid to be.

Unfortunately there is no easy way for me to fix it. But, down at the bottom of the page is a red "Contact Us" button for contacting the DMsGuild operators. Explain what happened and they can fix it for you.

If you contact me through Discord (you can find me through the Grim Press discord), I might be able to help there as well.

Hi, just wanted to clarify, is there documentation provided with the maps (info about the rooms, monster cards, NPCs, etc), or is it just the maps and I would also need to purchase the DotMM book to see how they all stitch together? Thanks!

You don't NEED the DotMM book. These expanded dungeon rooms are designed to add on to the existing dungeon in DotMM, but they could be used for any dungeon as additional rooms, and they come with documentation about the NPCs, treasure, traps, puzzles, etc.

Are these maps directly sized to and compatible with the roll20 version of DotMM?

The maps are 50px per square, not Roll20's standard 70, but each map has a grid key square that makes lining up the grid on the whole map VERY easy.

Thanks. Do you have the maps as created in roll20 as a replacement for your style? I like Dyson's work, but I would prefer a more detailed map.

I don't, sorry. These are just expansions of the existing dungeon.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
