The Way of Overwhelming Force is a new Monk tradition for 5th Edition Dungeons and Dragons that allows you to put the full power of your entire body into your strikes, allows you to break stone and steel with ease, and hardens your skin such that nothing can touch you. Who needs finesse when you have raw power?

The Way of Overwhelming Force is a Strength-based, offensive-focused Monk subclass based around pushing out as much damage with your unarmed strikes as possible, and in breaking the bodies of your opponents utterly.

i think you need to re-read how monk strikes work. you don't automatically use your dex. you CAN use your dex in place of strength if you choose too. all your abilities that say "you can use your strength in place of dexterity" (EXCEPT unarmored defense), already can do that.

if you were looking to simulate iron body and iron fist techniques, maybe something like in certain situations you get to add double your strength modifier and omit any wording about dexterity when it comes to attacks. if you were using a strength build especially with your Iron Body ability, you're probably not going to run a good dex anyways

Thank you for your comment, but I think you misunderstood the wording of the features. "...you gain the ability to add your strength modifier to attacks made with your Flurry of Blows in addition to your Dexterity modifier." and "...adding your strength modifier to your damage alongside your dexterity modifier..." means that Iron Fist and Broken Body Technique allow you to use both your Dexterity AND your Strength at the same time when calculating the damage of your Flurry of Blows/Broken Body Technique strike. That goes for the Freedom Through Strength feature as well! You still want good Dex for an Overwhelming Force monk, but the features you get mean you also want to focus on Strength as well. Remember that your slow fall, Deflect Missiles, Ki abilities that force saving throws (Including Body Explosion) still key off of Dex!

I apologize if the wording was unclear. I hope you enjoyed the subclass otherwise!
