MOON 2-3 THe Eye in the Mist is the finale of our first trilgoy in our exciting new D&D Adventurers League campaign – Rising Shadows. The events at Dynnegall revealed evidence that a new threat to fey and Ffolk may have emerged on Moray. The ties to prophecy are too strong to ignore. If true, every moment is critical. About Baldman Games

Baldman Games are gamers, DMs, and writers, who love D&D. We’ve been running shows since 2001 starting with small regional shows in NE Ohio (All Americon & MVC) and grew quickly to adding Origins in 2004 and Winter Fantasy/DDXP & Gencon in 2005. We added organized play to our plate in 2011 with Ashes of Athas – our in-house Dark Sun campaign. In 2014 we added PAX Prime to our plate and have expanded upon that in 2015. And in 2018, we introduced Season of the Rising Shadows for the Adventurer’s League, a series of adventurers set in the Moonshae Islands.

Cool setting, good RP opportunities. The trials for the party were varied and interesting. A puzzle, a short combat, and a task with setbacks to overcome. There was also a nice fight concluding this trilogy. I really like the mechanic of having multiple sources of lair actions, some hurtful and some helpful to the party. It was a big moment at the table when the players realized what was happening. My only complaints are with the mix of creatures for the party to fight. I felt this installment really ignored its origins with lycanthropes, making my players who'd spent GP on silvering their weapons after MOON 2-1 feel silly. However I understand the reasoning behind that decision as several players at my table hadn't played 2-1 that morning. On the other hand, the big bad could bring skulks into the fight, but if the players hadn't done MOON 2-2, they would be in serious trouble. I doubt that, in the middle of the final fight, players would have been able to discover the secret to the skulks to neutralize their...See more

I ran this at a con so I did not purchase but just wanted to say that the whole trilogy is quite good but this module is my favorite. Memorable NPC, some good humor, challenging puzzles, challenging (but not lethal) combats. Players I ran it for all seemed to have a blast. You know that challenge level is right when the players are like "we can't possibly do this" but then they do. Super well done.

I'm looking for more in this series. I found on the Baldman Games website (specifically http://baldmangames.com/origins/) that there are addition entries (MOON 7-1,2,3, 8-1,2,3, and 10-1,2,3). Are these going to be added to the DMs Guild, or am I just terrible at finding them?

There are more. Lots more. Some have premiered, some are yet to premiere, and some are in final editing/layout right now. MOON 3 and MOON 4 trilogies are next up in the queue and MOON 3 is really close to being done.

These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
