Tyrannosaurus VeX Presents

VeX's Trinket Horde

Have you ever wished there were more of those little relatively useless, but intriguing trinket items at your fingertips to throw into your treasures, into the pockets of monsters, and in the possession of NPCs?  Do your players love the trinket table in the PHB, but want more?

Then this is the module for you!

What it included?

  • Seven Hundred Dragable/Droppable Trinket Items with names and short descriptions.
  • A nested table system that rolls randomly and outputs a random trinket to the chat or a parcel.
  • Future updates with more trinkets!
This module is an integral part of VeX's Random Treasure Generator Tables!

Examples

UPDATE:  March 31th, 2019 - Forecaster finished proofreading the first six-hundred trinkets and I have updated those he found with spelling/gramatical errors.  In addition, there are 100 new trinkets that have been added to the module, brining the total number to 700.  But I am not satisfied.  I have every intention of adding more more more!  Enjoy!

Is there any future plan to update this table so it works in unity? If so I plan on buying both mods even before they update is completed.

Both these tables and my Random Treasure tables DO work in Unity. The optional extension made by Oleg, doesn't.

Hello, I am having trouble getting this to work in FGU. I saw on the forums someone else posted having issues and that the extension required to run it in FG is no longer working or doesn't work in FGU (Random Treasure generator ext), but there was no response there. Is there a fix, or are we all missing something? I have this mod (Vex's Trinket Horde), along with Vex's random Treasure tables, and the extension loaded and modules opened, including DM's guide. I am unclear about how to "delete" the sample table that pops up. I deleted the entry in the window that appears beneath the instructions that pop up, but that didn't do anything. I click to roll and it will add coins, but no treasure. I was able to drag and drop some tables into the window beneath, and got some results, but there are no instructions on how to set up the dice rolls etc. to refer to the correct Challenge rating tables/etc. Thanks in advance for any guidance you can provide.

As far as I know, the extension doesn't work in FGU. But if it's correctly loading, you can try it. Make sure you are deleting that sample table, then make copies of the Tables from the Random Treasure Tables mod, and then move those copies into the correct group for the extension. Otherwise the tables won't roll correctly.

The tables do still work, you need to choose the correct table for the Challenge Rating of the monster or encounter from the Treasure Tables.

Seconding this issue -- I downloaded expecting a PDF, without reading the fine print. It's on me, but consider putting a more prominent FANTASY GROUNDS ONLY warning on there! Most of us don't use it or can't afford it.

I made the mistake of purchasing this without realising it was not a PDF but a module for Fantasy Grounds (which is too expensive for me right now). This is NOT a review, as I have not been able to view the product, it's just a notice to anyone else who might be looking.
A shame really, the preview looks really good!

I'm sorry you're having troubles opening it.
Did you download the file in the correct directory?

Fantasy Grounds Modules need to be saved in Modules subfolder of the Fantasy Grounds Data Folder.

Once it's in the correct directory, and you are loaded into a Fantasy Grounds campaign as a Host/DM, you load the module from the Library > Modules menu.

Once there, the tables will be accessible from the "Tables" button.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
