This entire AL season is an inconsistent mess with some adventures containing only the non-printable version and now this one contains ONLY the printable version.

It's a decent mod, I'll be running it soon however, you've completely missed out on a monsters stat! You missed the Death Tyrant!

Negative Energy Cone. The death tryant’s central eye emits an invisible, magical 150-foot cone of negative energy. At the start of each of its turns, the tyrant decides which way the cone faces and whether the cone is active.
Any creature in that area can’t regain hit points, any hu- manoid that dies there becomes a zombie under the tyrant’s command. The dead humanoid retains its place in the initia- tive order and animates at the start of its...See more

Combat with shapechanging slaads can lose irs attraction if it is played on a grid since it is known who is who on the grid.

I would recommend to add the following sidebar for those preferring the grid:

If the slaad is targeted by a hostile creature and the creature's ally whose form the slaad is assuming is within 5 feet of the slaad, the creature must make a DC 17 Wisdom (Insight) check or target the ally instead.

Likewise, if the creature targets an ally with a beneficial effect, and the slaad assuming the form of that ally is within 5 feet of her, the creature must make a DC 17 Wisdom (Insight) check or target the slaad instead.

The update to this file seems to only be of a printer friendly variety. Plus the complete reformat of the document to not meet Season 8 standards makes it very hard to review what has actually been updated in the module.

This was presumably a draft version of the document so as to get an update as soon as possible while they wait for the fully edited one to get back from layout. Basically every encounter has been increased in difficulty, and some references to non-AL stuff has been removed.

Also the ACP/TCP rewards have been corrected, and the rarity of the magic item unlock on the player handout cards is corrected (though the description in Appendix 5 is still incorrect).

Please note that this file has been updated to indicate that Aghairon does *not* offer shield guardian amulets as a reward to characters. Other edits include changes to encounters to better challenge Tier 4 characters, and a correction to the rarity of the magic item unlock.

However the magic item unlock rarity is still incorrect on the handout in Appendix 5.

Those are the correct values. The Season 8 Tier 3 and Tier 4 adventures all reward 2 ACP and 4 TCP per Story Objective, and 1 ACP and 2 TCP per Bonus Objective (giving you 6/12 total if you do all objectives). DDAL08-16 and DDAL08-18 had incorrect ACP/TCP values for the Story Objectives, but were updated today.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
