Hey have a question- is it possible to weave these stories into campaigns? I mostly use female characters for my main protaganists/heroes.

Absolutely! I've been doing it on Threeflings for 2 years now. We're running a campaign entirely made of Uncaged adventures from all four volumes. DM me on twitter (@Miss_Jess03) for more info or just stop by the show sometime!

Heya! I'm planning on running the Frostmaiden module when that releases and would love to slot in some of these adventures. Are there any that are particularly suited to a winter-themed setting? If so, which volume? Thanks a lot!

Hi there! It might be too late for this, but I highly recommend Reclaim from Volume 3 and A Raw Reprisal from Volume 2 for cold-weather specific encounters. A lot of them can be run in any setting, however (like A Family Reunion in Volume 1 or Permanent Collection from Volume 2) so feel free to grab what suits you!

Hey there! I’ve loved this anthology and the others, and I was wondering if you’d ever consider making one where the stories were more in depth? E.g. a volume with only 10 or 15 stories instead of 25?
I know that short adventures are what you make of them, but I’d love to see some of these authors exploring their stories further.

Hi! In the first module, Maid in waterdeep , I find heks Vand intentions a bit confusing.

The adventure background says :
"Vand has ordered his men to cut out her tongue as a sacrifice to his patron. He gloated to Lily that Sanger’s tongue was forfeit at the next full moon, in two tenday’s time."

The end of the adventure is very clear in the fact that, Sanger has already lost her voice:
“I’m Lily. I’m sorry I got you into this mess, but I’m not sorry to have met you. I will cherish the memory of hearing you sing aboard that caravel, and I am at your service.”

And also:

"if the party chooses to restore Sanger’s voice, reward each player with an additional 50 to 100 XP."

What seems confusing to me is that Heks Band is not clear about what are his intentions with Sanger, I assume he will take her life on the full moon as a sacrifice to his patron and is glad to offer some more souls when Lily and the...See more

Yeah I was also super disappointed by this adventure, it seems a really poor start to the compilation.
1) Like you said, all of Heks Vand's motivations are so strange, why wait to cut out a tongue? Why is he just waiting for Lily?
2) The story feels so forced as a reversal of the little mermaid's lose-a-voice-gain-legs storyline
3) Lily has heard Sanger's voice and saved her life and is now gonna risk everything
4) Sanger is such a bad name for a female bard. Its way too on the nose and not feminine.

Just feels so weird.

I've modified it so that long ago Heks Vand agreed to give Lily legs so she could be with Sanger, her lover, in exchange for an unknown price at a later date. Sanger, a popular bard and performer, has begun spreading tales of Heks Vand's magical powers. Heks in response stole away Sanger's voice as his unknown price, and at the next full moon Sanger will perish. Now Lily wants to get the beautiful voice back from Heks. They can sneak into Heks...See more

Is there a guide to how long the differing adventures will take? Do they all take say 2 hours or it varies?

I believe they are designed to be played in one to two sessions depending on the table. Most will only take a few hours, but they vary.

Are there PDFs of the player's maps from the back of the book, if you only have the harcover version? I looked and couldn't find them.

Also, is there a map for The Corrupted Temple from the Guardian of the Forest adventure?

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
