So glad you can join us for the festivities!

Welcome to The Harvest Festival! Every year, the city of Ankhor hosts its Harvest Festival and visitors from all over the country join together to indulge in food, drink, games, and The Gladiator's Gauntlet! While this Gauntlet was once a tournament of pure strength and combat prowess, a change in times and culture led to a change in the competition structure. Now competitors in this event face off in a best of 5 in any of the following events:

  • Rooftop Rush
  • Jubilant Joust
  • Brawling Beasts
  • Culinary Confrontation
  • Passionate Performance
  • Fishing Frenzy
These events each test different skills of your party members and rewards great role-playing in the form of extra gold at the end of the competition! Do you players have what it take to defeat the Saviors of Revelheim in the Gauntlet? Or will they leave the Festival disappointed?
Or perhaps another set of opponents . . .

PvP Options

The base version of this adventure includes a guide for taking your players through The Harvest Festival against a group of NPCs called The Saviors of Revelheim, but that is not a requirement. If you are feeling ambitious, all 6 of the events in the Harvest Festival can be used in a PvP environment with two adventuring parties facing off against one another! No one risks dying in the Gauntlet and even the losers get some prizes at the end of the day, so it is a fun experience for your entire table! Hand out scripts to your players so they can act out a scene in The Passionate Performance. Prepare your best food show host voice as they find creative ways to cook vile foods in The Culinary Confrontation. See how has the strongest combat prowess as they take of wild creatures in Brawling Beasts!

The only question now is - who will win!?

The Harvest Festival also comes with 9 mini-games! They range from simple to complex and can be dropped into any festival setting you may desire, not just the Harvest Festival. Each game gives your players a chance to earn a Harvest Festival Patch that they can proudly display on their outfit and the more of these patches earned the more spins they will get on the Grand Prize Wheel at the center of town!

Food and Drink

The Harvest Festival also provides some specialty food and drink to offer up to your players. Perhaps they would like to try a Remorhaz Special - a pairing of a Dragonflame Brew and an Ice Giant Ale to mix hot and cold! See if they can handle the specialty of local celebrity chef - Goredawn Ramslay - a half-orc that your players may meet if they take on the Culinary Confrontation!

Is there a specific font I need? I'm getting an error message when I open it and I can only view the text in the boxes to be read out loud.

Can I ask what you are using as your PDF viewer? That isn't something I have had someone bring up as an issue before.

I tried opening it on a different computer and didn't have any problems, so it's something on my end, but thank you so much for checking!

I ran this through the Monarcies of Mau system. Such a fun side quest in our main story. Thanks!

Are you planning to bring his over to Fantasy Grounds? I was planning to convert this for my players hence why I ask.

I do not have any plans for this one at the moment. It is part of the conversion for my Dungeon Master Toolkit 3 but I partner with some of the folks from Fantasy Grounds to do the conversions. I am not opposed to having a Fantasy Grounds version of the module though.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
