I love these spells and have incorporated them into my homebrew game. I will say that the Dimir Machinations spell is incomplete or cut off from its page and does not finish out.

And Fist of Stone does not specify a damage type.

Is there a list of which spells are intended for which guilds? Some are obvious, but some...aren't? (Especially for someone more familiar with D&D than MtG.)

No problem. Some of the spells are from older editions of D&D and some are Magic spells but aren't really Guild-specific, so if it isn't listed it's kind of "guildless". Glad you enjoy the book. I'll probably be putting up another edit because as I was compiling this list I saw some of my own errors. :)

My problem in this whole situation is I'm keen on posting things up as soon as possible and then coming back around to them and redo-ing them or editing out my mistakes. It makes for little time to make new content. ;_;

Hey, so I was wondering if you wouldn't mind clarifying Eye of the Storm. I'm having a lot of trouble parsing it.

Sure, no problem. I'll work it out with an example scenario. Here we go:
Turn 1: I cast Eye of the Storm as my action. You cast fireball. Eye counters the Fireball, but then you can cast Fireball as normal. Your casting of Fireball is in the eye.
Turn 2: I cast Lightning Bolt. Eye counters my Lightning Bolt. I then cast your Fireball and my Lightning Bolt through the eye. My casting of Lightning Bolt and your casting of Fireball are in the eye. You cast Magic Missile. Eye counters your Magic Missile. Your then cast your Fireball, my Lightning Bolt, and your Magic Missile through the eye. MM, LB, and FB are in the eye.

Rinse, wash, repeat. Until the caster of Eye loses concentration.

Let me know if this just invites more questions and I'm certainly willing to work them out with you and possibly issue errata if we're able to find an issue together here. :)

Oh wow, this is just a perfect concept. Seeing so many of the cards from my old Ravnica decks written here in D&D form is just fantastic. I'll be posting a review soon, but this product is just too much fun for a M:tG fan to ignore!

I just wanted to take a moment to applaud your restraint in naming the spell "Justice Strike" and not "Stop Hitting Yourself." I can't wait to use this as often as possible!

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
