hmm, not sure why I can't leave a review or rate it. Anyways, a great time to be had in this adventure. Shades of King Kong, Mysterious Island, Land That Time Forgot, Land of the Lost, etc. Great old skool tropes, which my kids and their friends are loving.

I agree with Patrick F. that the dialogue for the Paku Chief feels problematic, so I had to re-write it. Whatever issues you might have (I haven't delved into part 2 yet), if you have enough prep time, you should be able to work around any issues presented with the text. There's so much room to improvise or manipulate to your heart's content.

If you're looking to get the feel of this, watch some of those old movies. Please ignore their problematic social mores and soak in the awesomeness of humans waaay out of their element.

I've made the various tribes descendants of people marooned on the island over the generations. They are all of mixed heritage of just about every D&D humanoid race. Their common is broken, but...See more

For the "Dinos of Darkness" map pack, could you include the version of the cave map without labels?

Is there a print friendly version of Dinos of Darkness?

Hi Kathryn,

Firstly thank you so much for supporting this series.

At the moment we don't have a PF version of DoD, but fear not! Since you asked, I'll have one created asap and plan to upload over the weekend.

Thanks again!

Hello Phil! Checking in to see if the PF version is available yet? I'm starting it this weekend (possibly, if they get thru the finale of the Pt.1). Thanks for a great adventure!

Heya Ann!

Thank you for the support! If your players enjoy high adventure, liberation themes, strong and pivotal female NPCs and the ability to ride dinosaurs into battle then I am 100% sure they will love this adventure :)

Be sure to check back, we would love to hear about how your group fares!

Cheers again

Just reading the opening chapters (via Dragon+ download), I couldn't wait to put my group thru this--it'll blow their young minds. However, I'd need the printer friendly versions. I thought it'd be included in this package but it wasn't, was that in error? Please let me know!

Otherwise, Struggle in Three Horn Valley has one of the best openings I've ever read! Can't wait to finish it!

(Also, you might want to let the DriveThru Team know that their desktop app syncs everything but the Dinos of Darkness maps rar file. I had to come to this page to download it.... I was also looking for the PF versions....)

Hi there, Sean!

Firstly thanks for your purchase and the kind words!

Secondly, you're right, the printer friendly pdfs were only distributed with the Struggle in Three Horn Valley single release (the adventure on it's own)... I'll rectify that immediately and touch back here once it is ready to download (We don't have a printer friendly one for Dinos of Darkness at this point, but I will also work on getting that added... might take a little longer though).

As for Print Friendly versions of the maps... this is something that isn't currently available and will need a lot more time, but I can certainly look at providing those at some point too.

Wow, thanks for the speedy reply Phil! Adding the PFs is very much appreciated! Certainly no rush (it's 1am where I am)!

I've just briefly looked the maps over and I didn't see a printing issue with them. A little colour never hurts there! I really appreciate the selection of grid or gridless. Excellent work and congrats on the Best-Seller status with 'SiTHV'!

Rules Edition(s)
Original electronic
Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
