Peren, a guildless Devkarin collector of obscure relics has gone missing. The elf of shadow is in deep debt to the Orzhov as well as to the Rakdos performer, Ophyira. To discover Peren’s fate the party must descend into the Undercity of District Four, within the territory of the Golgari Swarm.

The Felicity Triskelion is a 2-hour Guildmasters' Guide to Ravnica adventure for 3rd-4th level characters. Continuing the Secrets of the Triskelion campaign which began with Off to a Weird Start, and picking up where The Palace of Pain’s Pleasures left off, this adventure is designed to be part of an ongoing campaign. For Dungeon Masters who wish to incorporate The Felicity Triskelion independently from the ongoing story, 10 Adventure Hooks (one for each guild) are included, giving The Felicity Triskelion flexibility for one-shot play or for inclusion in your own campaign!

The Felicity Triskelion contains:

  • A new location beneath the streets of Precinct Four.
  • A new NPC antagonist (or contact), Kakerlake, the kraul death priest in charge of the Brobourg neighborhood.
  • Two new monsters, including the undercity necrolisk and a mysterious, mutated Horror!
  • A new Artifact, which might change the face of Ravnica forever: The Felicity Triskelion.

We are loving this campaign! Just finished Palace of Pain's Pleasure, and I'm prepping this one. One thing, do the adventures give renown ever? (Krenko's Way and A Zib for Your Thoughts give renown upon their conclusions, that's why I'm asking.)

I'm glad to hear you are enjoying it! Renown is not touched on much within the campaign. I would recommend assigning it based on the interactions with the various guilds and the plot hooks by guild presented in each adventure, according to the guidelines laid out in GGTR Chapter Two. Basically, as they either accomplish the substance of their hooks, or tie their actions into their guild's interest in some way, assign Renown accordingly.

There are a few instances where renown can be lost called out in the later episodes as well.

Hope this helps!

So when you solve the main item, is it then a separate thing to open it, or is it open once you solve it? I'm having some continuity confusions with this and Thousand Year Storm.

The short, spoiler-free version, is if the triskelion is opened before the events of Thousand Year Storm, it consumes/affects the opener and their immediate surroundings, but slams back shut before the big bad things can happen. From a narrative perspective, no one who handles it is fully capable of getting it open until that point in the story.

“This was epic”. A quote from one of my players. When they heard they were going to see the rakdos circus. They was trying to think about how they were going to fight them. Then they were blown away by the fact it was more about investigating with them and not killing them like they are used to

So I just finished running this and...oh boy. The boss encounter was certainly something, especially since I decided to spice things up by making it semi-legendary (2 LAs and 2 uses of LR) which made for an effective fight where the PCs had to be strategic about fighting it rather than locking it down due to its abysmal Intelligence score. The party fighter got close to death a couple times, but the party eventually reigned victorious (and the bard even dealt the finishing blow with the toot of his horn!)

That said, the mandatory arresting aspect ended up (predictably) irking my players. Is there perhaps a suggested alternative for other DMs to use in case they'd rather take a different path?

The next chapter of the story, Assault on Precinct Four, relies on the party being in custody. Having said that, the information the party learns in that adventure could easily be passed along through other means, such as one of the NPCs from a previous adventure or a guild contact of one of the PCs.

The arrest is not mandatory, but deviating from that plot point will require some work on the DMs part.

Is it just me or does Rogad seem way too strong for a party of 3rd level party. Maybe not for a 4th level party. Or does this assume that the Kraul are lending their aid?

The encounter is meant to be very challenging (it is, after all, the climax of the story.) A 3rd level party will have quite a bit of trouble, but if they play it smart and tactical (or get the help of the Kraul, or the other denizens of the neighborhood) they should prevail. There are also a number of environmental situations in the area that a quick-thinking party should be able to use to their advantage in such a confrontation.

Running is also a perfectly valid option. Some fights, you are just not ready for.

I am curious though... Which guild do you think that part would be 'affiliated' with (like how these past three parts were Izzet, Rakdos, and Golgari respectively)? Based on the ending, I would think Azorius, but the title of part 4 evokes Boros.

I'm planning on running this for my party, but there is one thing I am unsure of. How can the party get in or out of the neighbourhood if its a vertical drop down?

They will have to figure out a way to climb down, try to jump down, utilize magic they may have at their disposal, or convince the residents to take them up or down.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
