You were once in union with The One and The Prime. Your mind was Its mind, your will was Its will. Your life’s work was to, in your own small way, make the universe a more ordered place.

You were, for lack of a better word, content. Everything was as it should be.

Until, one day, it wasn’t.

Where your mind once held clarity, it instead rang with discord. Working tirelessly to instill order no longer made sense. You tried going through the motions, pulling the same levers, pushing the same buttons, listening for Primus’ absent voice, but nothing worked anymore.

You had gone rogue, and you had to get out. You had to leave Mechanus, your home, once and for all.

Modrons are a planar character race of construct creatures, once in accordance with the will Primus, the god of Lawful Neutrality, now entirely, perplexingly independent.

Do you wander the multiverse, searching for any purpose that remains to you? Do you still attempt to fix the world, making it an orderly utopia like the one you lost? Or, blasphemy upon blasphemies, do you revel in the chaos of the world, allowing it to fix you?
