Sven's Adventures: Collector's Edition

"The tale of Nula and Nibbles is one to warm the heart of even the most icy DM and most murder-hobo of players [...] Wolpertinger, Wererat—Well! is an adventure with soul, comedy, love, and Fawlty Towers-esque antics"—Cameron Day from Comics, Clerics, & Controllers

"The fact that the adventure revolves around the search for a child's pet 'bunny' is fantastic. It is heartfelt and weird in all the best possible ways. [...] All in all, this is a fun adventure and a great one-shot."Jason M. (Verified Purchaser)

"I was able to run this for some of my friends a while ago and it was excellent. [...] I don't think there is one encounter in the whole thing that only has one solution. Instead the party can achieve success over encounters in multiple ways."—Andreas K. (Verified Purchaser)

Welcome to Wolpertinger, Wererat—Well!, a two-hour adventure for 1st-4th level characters, designed for Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition!

Waterdeep, the City of Splendors, is brimming with exciting opportunities for adventurers - seemingly at every corner, backstabbing between rival guilds, intrigues among the noble houses, and treasures in forgotten places beckon. But today, a little girl is in trouble and needs the help of our heros in rescuing her pet "bunny"!

This adventure is an unapologetically linear dungeon crawl—short, straight-forward, and to the point. It follows the three-pillar principle: combat, exploration, social interaction. The idea is to spice up the classic formula with varied challenges that result in a short, entertaining session. This makes this an excellent adventure for beginner players and DMs! Detailed support is provided for the DM in the form of roleplay advice for six completely fleshed out original NPCs, advice on the three pillars in each scene, and scenic sensory descriptions for every scene to make the adventure come to life.

Included with this adventure are:

  • an original custom monster, the wolpertinger
  • 6 original fleshed out NPCs, including personality traits and roleplaying tips
  • 20 original (but mostly useless) magic items
  • 6 original diseases
  • one original trap
  • a complete original dungeon map covering the entire adventure

Content Warnings: abuse (verbal), animal cruelty or animal death, mobbing

Hi there! I'm about to run this on weds (and really looking forward to it) but I don't seem to be able to extract the maps from the pdf so I can upload them in roll20. Is this something you could possibly provide? Thanks!

Hey, I've noticed that on the 2. Page "City Settings" is the exact same text as in Page 3 "Adventure Hooks"
Also I dont understand how the party could possible kill the Wolpertinger if he has the immunities from melee weapons. I will just discard the immunities when I will run it.

Other than that really good Product, looking forward to DMing it next week. I will write a review afterwards.

This looks like a great module and will be the adventure my 8 year old son uses for his 1st time as a DM. I am going to be helping him so I am reading it over and I noticed a section with a redundant paragraph on the full color PDF.

Page 7 The Door. The paragraph under "LABORATORY OF DIMSPARK THE UNLIKELY" is repeated twice before the Behind The Door section... I thought you may like to know.

Full disclosure: I'm a friend of the author. So I'm certainly biased, but I think he does great work nevertheless.
Since I did not buy it (but was gifted it) I will post my review here instead of under Reviews.

I was able to run this for some of my friends a while ago and it was excellent.

Naturally I had messed up my schedule so had only prepared the first few pages of the adventure.
So I was underprepared and overexcited when we got together.

I had read all of it a few weeks before we actually played so at that point my memory of the content was rather hazy.
Because of the good layout I was nevertheless able to run it straight from the paper.

In terms of layout and writing I especially love the sensory description boxes. Something every author, including official books, should steal.
The content in general is very well presented overall and does not need to hide next to any of the official books I own.

The premise is rather...See more

Looking forward to running this with my players. For those of you who use D&D Beyond, I've added all of the Mostly Useless Magic Items to public homebrew.

Nice! Maybe you can even leave the link to your entry on D&D Beyond here, for others to access it more easily? Have fun, and let me know how it went!

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
