A set of class options for those looking for a little more variety. This document includes 5 Classes, each with its own subclasses, as well as 14 new spells.

The Arbalist, a master of the crossbow. The Arbalist can go into states of trance-like focus, massively increasing their aim for a single attack. They also have a variety of features that improve crossbow use, including scavenging for more bolts after battles and ignoring the loading property of crossbows.

The Explorer, a traveller who documents their world. The Explorer keeps a compendium--a book of research that they can write into after encountering a creature, location, or other phenomena. When the Explorer encounters these phenomena a second time, they are well-prepared and gain benefits based on their research.

The Magician, a spellcaster that specializes in touch-range spells. The Magician is a fusion of charisma and spellcasting––a performer that delivers magic with their hands. They also have access to the classic Disappearing Act--a defensive ability that lets them briefly disappear.

The Pyromancer, a magic-user that delves into the mysteries of fire. The Pyromancer is fueled by an inner flame, which they can summon to ignore fire damage and maximize the damage of fire spells.

The Witch, an expert in low-power magic and evoking animal spirits. The Witch controls two animal spirits, one as a familiar, good for scouting and spellcasting, and one as a companion, which is tough enough for battle. The Witch can also use low-level: they only know a few spells of 1st-3rd level, but they have no spell slots, casting using an ability check system called the Spirit roll.

I almost wish these were separate classes for like 75 cents to a dollar each. I am really only interested in the Arbalist. That or more information/previews on each class and their mechanics so I have a better idea what I'm purchasing. These would make fun NPC classes or villains.

Hi Jake, and thanks for your comment. I've updated the description of the classes so you have a better idea of each of the class mechanics, as well as some of their side features. Hopefully this informs your purchase better!

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
