Lord Rumfish's 2018 Gift Collection (The Collected Works of Mark Burton)

It's that time of year in North America where we believe an ancient spirit based upon the Krampus judges our actions of the past year from its omniscient spying, and either rewards us with presents or punishes us with storebought fruitcake bricks. Rather than wait for the Krampus's decision, why not treat yourself or someone you know to a collection of all of my works from 2018? Here's a rundown on what you get:

Spells from Elsewhere - This copper bestseller has been out since March 30th, when I (Lord Rumfish, a.k.a. Mark Burton) released my first Dungeons and Dragons 5th Edition supplement. It contains 101 spells that tell a story about the sort of people and location who would craft such a spell, such as spells that work well underwater or spells that summon floating rock creatures for transportation. Two new creatures appear here as well.

Backgrounds from the Underdark - 10 new character backgrounds themed around the Underdark, with a bit of extra attention paid to drow and duergar but with something for everyone.

Mind Magic - Also known as Codex One of the Enchiridia Mysteria, this supplement adds 25 spells about the mind, whether to mess with your foes, gain information, or protect your own mind from harm.

Arcane Tradition: Magi of the Staff - My first pay-what-you-want product (suggested price $1), this tradition allows your wizard to become competent in battle with a quarterstaff while still feeling appropriately wizardly.

Time Magic - Codex Two of the Enchiridia Mysteria. This supplement not only adds 25 time spells to your D&D 5e game, it also adds three optional rules for time paradoxes, as well as the formidable quarut inevitable to police the space-time continuum.

Bard College: College of Errantry - An experiment of mine to see if there would be interest in paying 50 cents for a class archetype. The roguish charm of the bard meets the gallantry of the knight in this college that lets you make devastating - but not multiple - melee attacks.

Mortality Magic - Codex Three of the Enchiridia Mysteria. Life, death, and undeath are at play in this collection of 25 spells that are mostly necromancy. Spells of both good and evil can be found here.

Sorcerous Origin: Aberrant Bloodline - In this pay-what-you-want product (suggested price $1) your sorcerer can gain the gift of magic from magical experimentation or an aberrant ancestry, which manifests both mentally and physically as well as through magic.

Monastic Tradition: Sword Dancer of Eilistraee - This pay-what-you-want product (suggested price $1) allows a monk devotee of the Dark Maiden to use her chosen weapon, the longsword, as a monk weapon, and to channel the powers of the moon.

Matter Magic - Codex Four of the Enchiridia Mysteria. This tome adds 25 spells about objects and matter to your D&D 5e repertoire, along with 4 new magic items. Build walls and structures out of 5-foot cubes, crush your foes beneath rolling stones, or turn any broom into a flying broom!

Bard College: College of Metal - This pay-what-you-want product (suggested price $1) offers bards a tongue-in-cheek college devoted to heavy metal... weapons and armor. Shred foes with your lute-axe while you channel lightning through it, all the while inspiring your allies!

This diverse collection of new options will make any character into a unique hero... or any villain into a diabolical and alien foe! The value of these works would normally be $26.41, but you can get this entire collection for only $17.99, over 30% off! Even if you have been following me on this journey already, this collection would make a great gift for someone... before the Krampus gets them.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
