I'm confused by the spellcasting. Any spell 5th level or lower, it costs 1 HP plus the spell slot, then an extra 1 HP to ignore material components?

Also, the 7th level part of the Undying feature is in the right margin of the page and cutoff. It's unable to be read. The Bone Armor spell is in the spell list as a 2nd level and 3rd level spell.

Hello! I will update the wording to be more clear, and fix the formatting issues (thank you for bringing them to my attention).

For spellcasting, you sacrifice 1 HP per spell level, so a first level costs 1, 2nd level costs two and so on, until you wish to cast a 6th level spell or higher in which case you also utilize your Vitality Points.

If you choose to ignore material components you would spend an additional 1 HP to the total used to cast the spell. Unless the spell requires a costly material component, than the number of HP used to cast the spell is equal to Spell Level+1 HP of every 10gp worth of material needed. So if a spell required a ruby worth 100 gp, and was a 3rd level spell, and you wanted to ignore the material components, you could instead use 13 HP to cast the spell and expend your spell slot.

Bone armor is to be a 2nd Level spell, and the Undying 7th level ability is as follows: 7th Level: During a short rest if you roll hit dice to recover...See more

And yes you must still expend a spell slot to cast the spell, in addition to giving the HP.

It is updated now and you should be able to download Blood Mage 1.1, issues should be resolved. Thank you for your patience. My Editable copy was deleted due to a hardware error so I had to redo it, hence it taking a few days. If there are anymore questions feel free to let me know!

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
