Dragon Heist - Chapter 1: Tavern Brawl Paper Miniatures

Tavern Brawl Minis

I made these paper miniatures to use in the Waterdeep: Dragon Heist campaign I'm currently running. They're specifically for the first "encounter" in chapter one of the main story line and should give you all the NPCs you need to run that encounter.

Miniatures Included:

  • Durnan x1
  • Yagra Stonefist x1
  • Krentz x1
  • Xanathar Bandits x4
  • Tavern Table x1

  • Not necessarily a selling point, but I've also included the quick and dirty black & white battle map of the Yawning Portal main room that I drew for my game. It ain't pretty, but worked pretty well for me in lieu of something fancier.

These miniatures have unique front and back artwork, they each have black and white "line art" versions incase you want to save ink or color them yourself. I also included individual PNGs and my Studio Cutfile for those of you using Silhouette cutting machines. For best results I recommend printing the miniatures on thick glossy photopaper. For the Map, use the "Poster" setting when printing to have it automaticaly divide out onto multiple pages for easy reassembly.

Special note for the PDF file, it's "interactive" and may not play nice when you open it through a web browser - I recommend opening it with Adobe Reader (a free to download/use program) or other application dedicated to viewing PDFs.

This is kind of a test to see if there is enough interest in paper miniatures tailored for official WotC encounters, so if you like these and want to see more of them please let me know with a rating/review.

You sir, are a hero! This is a god send for someone who doesn't have hundreds of dollars to buy several miniatures for one event.

These look awesome! if I hadn't already taken my group past this point I'd have snapped them up in a heartbeat.

I hope you do some more for later in the module.

Thanks! Yeah, I'm in the process of packaging up the "Trolls and Friends" and the "Zhentarim Hideout" encounters, and then I expect to do more as my players progress through the campaign.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
