First off, I really enjoy this concept, it screams School of Invention from GGtR UA. It was very rough, but I enjoyed the versatility it brought to the table; although that was more about reckless casting, and wild preparation rather than greater control through augmentation. I personally prefer being able to do more with my chosen spells, rather than casting at random.

Second, there is a misspelling on the second page, “Archane Apparatuses”

And as a side note, I enjoy that this is setting agnostic, but I’m definitely going to be fleshing this out and play testing with my group as an Izzet Weird PC. For that, I’ll probably change the class name to something a bit more thematic, and most of the apparatus names will be changed to “Mizzium —.” I can’t wait to pair it up with a -Mizzium Apparatus- from the GGtR, (Though, would a pairing like that work, or should I just combine the two in this instance?) and one of my own brewed items The Ballast of Arcane Induction.

Thank you very much. I will change the spelling error, that you pointed out.
As for the Mizzium Apparatus and the Arcane Channeler combination... this is just off the top of my head.
1. Still arcane focus
2. You could say that the magical etchings on the Arcane Channeler has a 5 tier dial, like a combination lock, that you "dial in" the spell you want to cast following the Mizzium Apparatus rules. If you fail the check, then you misaligned the etchings causing a random spell to cast.
3. Furthermore you could lower the difficultly of the Arcana check by spending "charges" from your Arcane Cache. You could spend 1 charge to lower the DC by 2 but could never be lower than a DC 10.
4. The spell slot required by the Mizzium Apparatus for casting the spell could also be supplied by the Arcane Cache per its rules.

I hope that sparks some concept ideas for you. Thanks again.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
