I really love this book, I'm going to mess with my players so much with it and play a wizard for the first time ever. but I do have to ask something, on page one there is a chart for dice rolling and it said on there if you get a 3 roll 200-299 but there is only 250 transformations. is that just a typo or did you remove some add the end and forgot to change the chart.

I am requesting an expansion for this, a subclass for the new version of the artificer. I think that would make a better mad scientist than a wizard tradition. Not only would they be mutating people and creatures for study, artificers would also be able to use the results in creating unusual magic items, which may or may not involve body horror.

Possibly in the future, I have another project in mind then I'm thinking of updating this project. Issue is work likes to keep me exhausted. So hopefully some time in the next few months I'll get to work on that. ~_~

After a through read, this is not a 5 star product. It is a 6 star product. The mutations/transformations are nifty, the races are excellent and the subclass is the best biomancer I have read for 5e by leagues. Heck the embedding of simple, yet useful research rules makes it the best "science" class I have read for any edition. I am going to back convert it for a Mutant Future campaign I plan on running in the near future.

The only thing I plan on changing is the restriction of humanoids only as research specimens. I have an idea for a bio-alchemist who works on blights and animated trees in preparation of creating shambling mounds. And as for Mutant Future, well there are no monster types to worry about- the sky is the limit.

That humanoid restriction was meant to, in combination with the limited number of uses per creature, drive a bio-alchemist to seek out test subjects: Giving the player a mechanical reason to start making the local homeless disappear or start getting creative in using captured bandits. you know, to drum up the whole mad scientist shtick.

If the players are up to it and do the recording, sure.

And I understand why the limitation, but that quashes little green men mutilating cattle*, mad botanists creating shambling mounds, and immortality seekers' accidents in the form of trolls.

* This is where darken beasts come into play. They can't be cutting up those cows for no reason at all.

From the preview, looks good. Two things: first you may want to consider editing the first table and replacing the 1d4 with a 1d6. That allows for a 1d300 where one does not need to reroll (1-2 is the first hundred, 3-4 is the second, and 5-6 is the third). Second with the product description, it is gall. Gaul was a place in history. And I really do not believe you would have impudence in asking for a couple bucks for this top notch resource.
