Lost City of Mezro

Hardcover, Standard Color Book
PDF + Hardcover, Standard Color Book

While the people of Chult suffer under the dreaded death curse, a force of darkness and corruption seeps into the jungle, defiling the once eternal spirits that gave life to the land.

Left unchecked, this vile power will eventually extend beyond these lands to pervade the entirety of the Realms. Hope lies with the return of Mezro, a holy bastion city long thought lost.

Those seeking to return the lost city to its former self are bound by destiny to either restore the balance or be consumed by their own dark fates.

Which path will you walk?

Rich: I own all four of the original adventures, but understand there were changes to certain magic items in this version. Any chance of either a discount for those who bought the originals, or an update to the magic item descriptions in the original adventures?

Do you have player versions of the maps available? I will be running this on Encounter+ and don’t really want to have to reproduce these great maps.

This is a great supplement to Tomb of Annihilation. to bad I had already finished the tomb but I will be running it again real soon and I will be using Lost City of Mezro.

I have read it and it is great it can be ran as a stand alone ( I might do that too) or as a companion piece.

This is a fantastic supplement that I'm very happy with, hell, I didn't even know about the included Entropy Domain Subclass and Heretic Background, and they're freaking awesome!!

Looking forward to the future when I'll be able to order a hardcover copy!

I saw on the D&D website that this was supposed to be free until April 18th, but the PDF looks like it's still free as of the 20th. No complaints of course, but is this on purpose or are people getting it for free still by accident?

Is there a place where I can get digital maps of all the locations in this adventure? I'm planning on running this adventure on roll20 and other than screenshotting the pdf there doesn't appear to be a place to get the maps.

I have a publisher's account, so I can't post a review or rate normally, but if I could, I'd give this a 5-star review. Just got my physical copy in the mail today and after wiping it down with disinfectant (because COVID-19), I'm loving the quality! Definitely worth the purchase and will go nicely with my own Expanded Tomb of Annihilation series.

Someone made an oopsie on the Dramatis Personae

Look at the Description for Adrinyth and then look at the description for Artus Cimber. Apparently we are to believe they are one and the same despite one not even being human.

Just finished the first "Heart of the Wild" chapter as a set of additional content for my group on their return from Orolunga. They really enjoyed the content and I'm looking forward to running the other chapter content following our Completion of ToA.
Some of my notes/concerns from running the Heart of the Wild it so far:
1. This supplement is great for anyone looking to expand the interactions with Artus Cimber in ToA and the lore of Mezro.
2. Mesika's presence is the seething halls is justified by her teleportation belt but I haven't found anywhere where thats explained unless it's somewhere in the later chapters that i missed.
3. I found the encounter with Kolate at the end of the Heart of Wild and its conclusion a bit lackluster and I didn't like that he just attacks on sight. I swapped out his goggles of night with a Helm of Telepathy used to communicate with whoever was closest to the coin and really talked up Kolate beleives that he has created the tree to devour the...See more

I'd like to second Nick M's question. Is there any way we could get the maps (preferrably without DM markers)?

Thank you!

Under "Dramatis Personae", Adrinyth has been given Artus Cimber's description.

Are copies of the maps available in a hi-res format? I've been printing out the Mike Schley maps in a large format and used them as battlemaps. I'd love to do the same here!

Does this play well with the main storyline of Tomb of Annihilation or does it muddle the primary focus? Does it enhance or should they be played separately. I am aware it says it can be used alongside but I am hoping for a clarification to that.

The adventures change nothing regarding the main ToA storyline. They simply expand on plot threads introduced in ToA and introduce them as an additional adventure path that concludes after the ToA hardcover adventure is already completed.

Would like to buy this, but am hoping there are digital maps available so I can run it online. Is that something that is available before I make this purchase?

Rules Edition(s)
Original electronic
Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
