Bard Colleges for Starving Artists

Suggested Price $1.99

Give your bard some extra panache with these four new Bard College options for 3rd Level!

Music, admittedly, isn’t everyone’s preferred art form. Not all people can play a spellbinding tune on a shawm. However, there are other art forms out there, each with their own unique magic that can be harnessed by bardic prowess. This product contains four new Bard College options inspired by these different means of artistic expression:

The College of Authorship is inspired by those introspective bards who prefer the written word over performance. Bards of this college can summon an magical Author’s Implement, which allows them to bond with various Literary Muses. With eight different Muses to choose from, this college presents a wide range of customization that you can tailor to your playstyle.

The College of Gambit is inspired by those clever bards who spend their lives strategizing at the game table. This college plays as more support-focused, with different ways to bolster your allies’ (and hinder your opponents’) dice rolls. It also includes an optional feat for those who do not wish to fully join the college yet still want to partake in the fun.

The College of Motion is inspired by those powerful bards who use their own physical bodies as their instrument. With boosts to speed, armor class, and unarmed strikes, this college is for any bard looking to deal massive amount of damage on the battlefield. However, the Arcane Steps feature also provides different ways to support your allies.

The College of Opera is inspired by those grandiose bards who forego instruments in their pursuit of music, preferring instead to use their own voice. The Aria of Rejuvenation feature provides another means for regaining hit points in battle; however, if you prefer damage over support, you can take the variant feature, Aria of Lamentation, instead.

Special thanks to Christian Valencia, who assisted with all the musical terminology included in this product, and to Kelli Butler, who inspired the College of Opera. All artwork in this product was made by myself.

Original electronic
Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
