Waterdeep: Expanded Faction Missions

A complete rewrite of all the Faction Missions listed in Chapter 2 of Waterdeep: Dragon Heist! Brand new content that follows the spirit of those missions if not the letter, with each mission providing new, deeper looks at the city of splendors. You'll find lots of little threads that connect to other parts of the city, other storylines, other NPCs. Perfect for the DM who might look at those Faction Mission paragraphs in Dragon Heist and say 'gosh, I sure there was more than just a paragraph!' well worry not, because I've got your back!

Included is a complete 1-3 page rewrite of every single Faction Mission! From Bregan D'earthe to Zhentarim, I got you, so kick back, download the PDF, and have some faith that I got you covered, even with a beautiful cover drawn by georginoschkavincenart(tumblr), I think you're gonna find stuff you're gonna like here!

I'm enjoying this one a lot. Out of curiosity, do you plan to make follow up factions quests in the future? I know these are based on the ones the campaign gives you, but I'd like to continue my campaign by adding more of these faction quests and you've done such a great job making quests out of these.

I did not have plans to make more Faction Missions, though I am working on doing a similar rewrite of Dungeon of the Mad Mage content to make the story elements a bit more cohesive. ...though I may put some more Faction Missions in there anyway, hadn't thought of it previously...

No problem! I knew I had written this way ofter the product was released lol. I think it would be a cool way to continue faction missions from Dragon Heist (as I plan on doing with my group).

Just bought this book, it's great. Really nice explanations for the missions in the main book. It's going to make it much easier to run, thanks

Just bought this Today and plan to use it for my players in Dragon Heist. I'd been struggling on how to handle this faction mission since they are so sparse. For now it's been a great read with only 1 spelling error I've found for now. Well done fleshing out the missions with interesting points in the narrative to weave them into.

Maybe I’m missing it but for the employees are there stay blocks that are missing? My party made an Air D and D. They hired Peterson and Tahnee but I didn’t see any stats or tables for then.

The missions are working well, thank you for flushing them out. Does anyone know of faction missions after level 5?

I don't suppose there's a printer-friendly version?

Sorry for the late response,

I have no idea how to do that, but am currently pursuing it. Kinda new to Homebrewery! I'll have it figured out in the next day or two, I promise.

It's up! Sorry about the wait. Turns out it was a big button on the front that said INK FRIENDLY. I am a fool.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
