Feldor's Guide to Elturgard – A region gazetteer

Looking for a place to set your up coming adventure? Look no further! Elturgard is a peaceful, god-fearing nation, ruled without incident for nearly 50 years. Rumors that the pot is ready to boil over are greatly exaggerated

Written before his death, Feldor Brewbarrel spent his years travelling through Elturgard, documenting the places he visited. What's more, his notes have finally been published, making his extensive local knowledge available to the general public!

Elturgard: Since the creation of the Companion, the magical orb that emits eternal daylight, the city of Elturel has undergone a transformation. A farming explosion coupled with new found peace have made the nation an attractive place for those seeking a simple life. But eternal sunlight still casts dark shadows, and not everything is well in Elturgard...

This package is designed to provide an overview of Elturgardian territory, and provide ideas for stories and conflict in your Forgotten Realms campaign. Inside these pages you can find:

  • 15 locations - Listing all the important locations within the borders of Elturgard, Feldor makes notes of the rumors and happenings he has heard. Notable places include Berdusk, the Forest of Wyrms, and the ruins of Fort Morninglord.
  • 8 factions - There are many forces at play in Elturgard, and not all have its best interests at heart. From the shadowy assassins of the Zhentarim to the oath-sworn Companions, each have their own goals and motivations.
  • Region map - A full colour map of the region, showing places of note and geographical features.

This guide does have some relevant information and explains some of the political history, but it is lacking in-depth information on the country and it's cities/provinces. [...]

Feldor's Guide to Elturgard has been very useful to me as a source of inspiration when going into new towns in Faerun that I'm not immediately familiar with. It also gives a unique perspective to each place that can give good insight into how each area [...]

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
