Larisha loved her new dress. That much was apparent to everyone who so much as laid eyes on her. The soft blue fabric gently swayed in the breeze as she made her way across town. The wide grin on her face seemed to brightened as people admired her knee-length treasure.
A member of the city watch held a hand before Larisha, stopping her in her tracks.
"I love your dress," the voice said.
"Thanks!" Larisha beamed, "It has pockets!" To showcase the mythical feature, Larisha pushed her dark fingers into the sky-blue fabric, where they disappeared to the knuckle.

Garlan Greenskin held his hand up in a gesture of friendship, the familiar cant of the theif as natural as his own orcish tongue. Larisha, excited to see her patron, exclaimed a series of noises - not quite speech, but close enough, as she waggled the edges of the skirt. With each wave, a valuable item rolled out onto the orante rug - a marble and gold vase, a bolt of precious silk, a decorative chain of mythril too large to steal by mundane means.

With raised eyebrows and no small amount of ruddy color on his face, Garlan managed a choked "Nice... dress."
"Thank-you-it-has-pockets!" Larisha said in one small breath.

Rare Enough to be Sad: I'm lucky to have had a wonderful cast of female players in my tenure as a DM, and one of the things that always gave me a laugh was how excited my players would get when they managed to find a good looking dress that had functional, good sized pockets. It was something of a fantasy - finding the perfect dress. What better to put in a fantasy setting?

Single Page Layout: The entirety of the rules for this magic item and the various bonuses at each rarity is present on this one sheet of paper. Keeping up with the items stored within the dress can be comically fun considering it's much larger than even a traditional backpack, so consider grabbing my Bag of Holding Inventory sheet for an easier time keeping track of things.

The Original: I never expected my throw-away tweet about the "Dress with Pockets" to spur so many people to create the item on DM's Guild and D&D Beyond, but the creativity of people never ceases to amaze me! This is the original item sheet I made for the Dress with Pockets - it's a good starting point for all of your dress-related designs for 5e D&D. Feel free to use it as you may!

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
