Enhance your battles with new traits and targets!

In Go for the Eyes, you'll find ways to throw curveballs at players who thought they knew monster stat blocks by heart.

Targeted Body Parts. Ever cripple a dragon's wing? Destroyed a beholder's central eye? Smashed a bone devil's stinger? Your players can overcome precise targeting and damage thresholds to inhibit a creature mid-battle.

Dynamic Traits. A frozen phoenix is momentarily slowed before it explodes back into full radiance. The mummy lord cackles, empowered by the curse it's inflicted on those around it. Discover new monster traits that complement lore and challenge foolhardy adventurers.

Over 60 Creatures! Monsters from all three monster supplements--Monster Manual, Volo's, and Mordenkainen's--are found within these pages.

Hi! Is there any plan to expand to setting books? I'm, particularly, interested on Dark Sun monsters. Also I use a lot of 3rd part books, especially for monsters. Any chance of having an appendix for generic "wings, legs, arms, eyes"? Thank you.

It states that the damage threshold is "minimum amount of damage a creature must deal in a single turn to the targeted body part in order to disable or destroy it". This sounds like there is no provision for multiple opponents to stack successive damage to take out the indicated body part. Is that correct? I can see how allowing multiple characters to target the same body part might be a bit OP from a balance perspective, but it does make a certain amount of logical sense.

Any chance you could adapt this to FG (Fantasy Grounds)?

I think Tarrasques is another monster that fits perfectly with the rules here

I’d love to see giants in this, things like attacking their, achelies so that you can get at their eyes to make their hand-eye coordination worse, or hit their arm to make their melee weapon attacks worse

Giants were definitely considered and something I’m still toying with for an update!

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
