Now that Thayan flags are flying over Mulmaster, what’s next for our heroes?

Do you like going toe-to-toe with dark overlords? Do you like fighting Red Wizards? Do you want to declare war on the corrupt, oppressive nation of Thay? We have the perfect roleplaying guide for your D&D Adventurers League campaign or homebrew! With over 20 contributors and 32 pages of original content, The Verdantium: A Red War Roleplaying Guide is a primer several months in the making.

It contains:

  • An easy-to-use guide on the Red War
  • Exciting new faction strategies
  • Interactive roleplaying ideas
  • Dramatic plot twists
  • Custom backgrounds
  • And much more!

The Verdantium allows you to participate in THE RED WAR—a massive, viral, collaborative headcanon roleplaying experience. (It's a compelling concept that enables you to roleplay away from the table through several online forums.) This guide was designed to be consistent with the most current Adventurers League rules and guidelines, and in keeping with the spirit of AL and organized play for D&D, 5th edition. Nothing in this guide was endorsed, approved, or created by the D&D Adventurers League.

All money raised will go to EXTRA LIFE, benefiting Children's Hospitals.

I have long felt that factions should be a role playing aid rather than a directed set of missions. That is, faction members should be looking for opportunities to further the goals of their group. A weakness in AL has been that cycle of NPCs handing [...]

I really appreciate and admire effort put into collecting information regarding The Red War in the form of brief document. That beeing said - the whole endavour feels like an excercise in futility and celebrating mediocrity at best. . [...]

The Verdatium exceeded my already high expectations for the combined authors that put it together! They have taken a vast amount of role-played online discussions, message boards, and chats and combined it all into an interesting, well-informed documen [...]

This is excellent! While I understand the impetus, saying that this isn't an AL product seems too apologetic :) I think this is exactly the kind of content that should be coming out of the AL community. A beautifully made guide to what feels like the [...]

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
