Can't review this particular item since I bought the bundle, but I just wanted to say I love the Sava rules. Also the consolidation of stat blocks for the whole chapter is a great idea!

In the "Tracking Floon" section when the Party goes to Mirt he enquires for a Xanathar Guild hideout near Castle Lane. BUt when the party goes to Vajra Safahr, she enquires for the hideout near Candle Lane.
I believe the book also does this which I believe to be a simple typo.
Would you be able to shed some light on why there are 2 different lanes that the hideout is on or is it a simple typo?

I would like to be able to print out the maps. Can you tell me how to format them for printing on regular size printer paper? Thank you.

Hi Rose!

We've actually made a guide for that. Check out this: https://eventyrgames.com/2020/01/20/guide-how-to-print-encounter-maps-free-elfsong-tavern-map/ :)

I hope that helps and best regards,

Hi there - the Yawning Portal map doesn't seem to have a dimension in inches, and it's the one I'm most likely to print rather than marker out because there's no secret doors on it. Can you let me know? Thanks!

Hi Meredith!

Of course, no problem! It should be 31 x 20 inches :)

Best regards,

This product is top-notch. My favourite part of this series of supplements (and I've purchased several) is the convenient consolidation of monster and NPC stat blocks on the last few pages of the PDF. Can you share what authoring tool or template you are using to generate/format these stat blocks? I would like to be able to create something similar for encounters that are not covered in your series of supplements, or for which the stat block have been omitted due to size/complexity (e.g. Chapter 4).

Hi Daniel

Of course! I'm using a genius - and free - tool on www.critterdb.com, which creates statblocks through an easy step-by-step process (and even has most of the OpenSRD monsters already made!). These statblocks can then be exported to a D&D layouter like www.gmbinder.com or www.homebrewery.naturalcrit.com, where you can print them or just store them digitally. It takes a while to do, but it's certainly something anyone can do :)

I hope that helps, and thanks for the kind words!

Are the maps full-scale and printable or are the only digital?

Hi Benjamin

Sorry for my late reply. The maps are digital, but they're printable in the sense that you'll have to prepare and format them for print on your own (I have no great experience with this, although I know it's certainly possible).

Best regards :)

We've just finished our work for the Zhentarim, and are in the process of putting it together. It takes a little while, but I'm cautiously optimistic that we can have it up within the next few days :).

Best regards

Really like the maps and suggestions. I'm going to use some, for sure. That said, I noticed a couple of things you might want to include:

1. Xanathar Bandits are missing a "Fist" attack, though the book describes them as punching Yagra.

2. Yagra Stonefist's stat block is missing darkvision 60 feet, her half-orc Relentless Endurance trait, you have "half-orc" for a language instead of "orc", and you don't have a "Fist" attack action which would be helpful since she's probably not swinging a weapon in public.

3. The troll's current hit points are 44, though it's good to continue showing the maximum as 84, since it can regenerate.

Thanks for putting this together!

Hi Jonathan

Really appreciate the constructive remarks :)

1. Unarmed attacks like this are not usually included, but you're definitely right that it would be a good inclusion. I'm adding them now – thanks for the suggestion!

2. That's an oversight on my part, it's being fixed as well :)

3. I see your point, but I think it'll cause less confusion to keep this at 84.

Thank you purchasing and taking the time to offer helpful advice.

Hi Mathew

Thanks for your interest, really appreciate it :)

Actually, yes. Unfortunately I have some family issues at the moment, so I haven't really had the opportunity, but I hope to have both a bundle and some new content out before the holidays.

Love these! Great ideas and the maps on your page are fantastic for online play. Using them in roll20, just takes a little time to set up tokens and dynamic lighting. TOTALLY a steal at $1.99. Thanks!

Hello Jean-Luc

I'm putting the finishing touches on my own document on Chapter 2, should be out before the weekend. But of course I'm always open to inspiration - two heads are always better than one :).

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
