Caesar Minimus

ADD TO WISHLIST >

This adventure is created for three different difficulty levels, so it can be played with various levels ranging from party of 3rd level characters all the way to the party of 7th level characters.

There has been an old crime and adventurers are needed to investigate it. A witness will be located close to Womford where a problem rises. The one, an elder tiefling woman, who would know of the people involved with the old crime has been kidnapped. Characters need to find the missing witness.

In a cover image you can see Caesar Minimus, hobgoblin captain who fled its tribe after an unsuccessful coup. Now it commands a small group of hobgoblins, goblins and some other monsters and drives forward to create a new name for itself and its group. In its doings it has joined a plot to capture an insignificant person, tiefling woman, who turns out to be more significant than you would know from the first sight.

There are also devils involved and soon a party of adventurers is closing on Bembole where Caesar Minimus keeps its fort.

8 to 12 hours to play estimate is very rough. The adventure includes Womford Southern village area where adventurers will mainly involve social interaction. A wilderness trip to the Bembole is quite short but contain probably some combat. When they reach Bembole they might try to kill every monster, but that might be hard. It is wiser to investigate land around Bembole Castle. If they parley with right guys they will meet creatures that will help to deal with hobgoblins. Caesar Minimus is one who they probably need to kill. There is also a mysterious vault that might go unspotted unless players are clever. There is extra treasure for those smart enough to uncover the secret of Bembole’s Unicorn Vault.

This adventure ties very thin to the Storm King’s Thunder campaign setting. It works as a side adventure.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
